I'm am 21 now but when I was 10 it took me TWO WHOLE YEARS to remeber all the kings and queens of England, and guess what I forgot them again a year later. Kings and Queens song on horrible histories taught them to me in, like, 5 minutes! Willam, willam, Henry, Stephen, henry, Richard, John , oi!......... luisdaniel acosta alzamora Don't troll about Cleopatra. I don't care what you say. She was a very pretty woman & yes she was hard & ruthless but she needed to be. It's a shame Julius Caesar didn't become king of Egypt & that her & Julius Caesar didn't get married. Just as well Mark Anthony was only with Cleopatra after Caesar's death. He would have been *so* hurt his best friend slept with his girlfriend.

We don't actually know if Cleo was beautiful or not. The coins she made suggested otherwise. However, the Romans just couldn't come to grips that a woman won the loyalty of two men in very high Roman society while holding off the Roman Empire for 20 years. It couldn't be brains or wit, right? It must be lust. There is actually no reference of Cleo being beautiful during her lifetime. That was all created centuries afterward. And she did have a son with Julius. She had four children in her lifetime. The eldest was Julius' and the other three were Anthony's. The reason why her eldest never ascended or took the place of Julius after he died was because Julius had already adopted an heir. In Roman times, adoptions happened when the man was an adult and had proven himself already. Being a son of some highborn man was thought of as just being coincidence and Julius refused to adopt their son. Cleo tried but then he was executed. There are actual temples that Cleo built for her son. The eldest son was caught and executed right after Cleo killed herself (she'd sent him away to flee but his slave convinced him to return to help his mother and Roman soldiers found them on the border.)

Mark Anthony ruled Ancient Rome's Eastern Provinces including Egypt! Mark Anthony was also Cleopatra's lover; they had three kids together. Both of them lost the Battle of Actium against Octavian who became the first Emperor of Rome Augustus! Both Cleopatra and Mark Anthony killed themselves after the battle at separate times.
