I used to drive a fork lift and the most important rule was to stay in lift if anything went sideways. Before I started working at this company there was a guy moving some material and damaged one of the shelves causing the material to fall to the ground. He jumped out and was crushed by probably 2-3 tons of wood. Had he stayed in the fork lift he would’ve lived.

A friend's older brother was a 'little person'. We knew not to mess with him, both because he was our friend's brother but also because he was extraordinarily tough. I've seen him beat the living shit out of people literally twice his height. Once he got them on the ground he was like a pro wrestler, they couldn't get him off. He wasn't nasty, but he'd only take so much teasing and then he'd get violent. It was funny to watch the look of surprise on his victims faces, especially if they were part of a group or trying to show off in front of girls. This was long before camera phones unfortunately, or he'd have been internet famous I'm sure.

A friend of mine used to work for the railroad in Massachusetts. He has had to witness a few accidents, everything from people trying to hitchhike and getting caught underneath, and just random body parts on the rails. There are some basic ass jobs that come with LOTS of baggage. One time he had to walk the tracks because someone got hit and their body was scattered down the rails, and they had to find all of it. Fucked with his head a lot. Lets just say hes in a different line of work now.

Regarding the Atlanta airport, the last time I was there, I was looking out on the tarmac, and it looked like a freeway. I never realized how much ground traffic there was.
