I'm so glad that you brought up Gone To See The Riverman the images conjured by that book are still with me and I read it months ago. I'd love to see The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw be adapted it was a visually stunning book with such an interesting character dynamic.

I have like 87 pages left in From Below and I agree that the movie would be amazing. If you have seen it but The Deep House is a film that really pulls off “diving horror” really well. I think these would make for really good adaptations: Into The Sublime - Kate A. Norman (sort of a YA version of The Descent but more psychologically terrifying) The Scourge Between Stars - Ness Brown (tense, claustrophobic sci-fi horror) Maggie’s Grave - David Sodergren (Relentless folk-horror nightmare, gory af) Gothic - Philip Farcasi (frustrated struggling horror writer receives antique desk with an extremely dark history)

For book I want brought to life I would say Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, but i want it as a one season series. If Denis Villeneuve can direct it, that would be great.

Because you enjoy Reviver, I'd suggest Intercepts by TJ Payne. It's a really good and very creepy book.

Gone to See the Riverman as a movie directed by Panos Cosmatos(director of Mandy, Beyond the Black Rainbow, and The Cabinet of Curiosities episode The Viewing) would be a sight to behold.

Incidentally, if you haven't seen Beyond the Black Rainbow, i recomend it. Some may find it pretentious, but i love the late 70s early 80s vibe.

I would have loved for Odd Thomas to have continued. I'm a big fan of the books and I think Anton Yelchin was perfect as Odd. I think that film went under the radar for a lot of people and it was such a shame he died so young.

The movie was great, and he was definitely a perfect casting choice. It really is too bad he passed away.

@user-cb8dd3rc9z It really was. He was so good in Alpha Dog (with an amazing Ben Foster) and Green Room also.

I would love to see two books made to film; Hear Shaped Box by Joe Hill, simply because it's my JH favorite and one of favorite horror books in general. Second would be more of a tv show,, 20-30 minutes per episode, based on Joe Lansdale short stories, read the collection By Bizarre Hands and some of the stories could be easily omitted and others expanded (for instance the Bloody Valentine or sth like that)

Ooooo interesting choices! Especially Penpal. Thats one Ive seen recommended across booktube and Im so curious to read it, seeing as it could make a good movie. I trust your opinion Anda! I think I would love to see Bloom by Delilah S Dawson be a movie. Its a sapphic horror book that is relatively short where the main woman meets a very cute girl at the farmers market selling cupcakes. It sounds like every sapphic womans dream but something aint right with her... I wish I could say more but it would spoil things! I would love to hear your thoughts on it, if you ever read it.

Blindsight for sure. We also need another Palahniuk/Fincher movie. My vote goes for Invisible Monsters.

I had the same thoughts when I read Gone To See The River Man. I could just picture everything going on like it was a movie playing in my mind. Another I'd like to see as a movie is The Auctioneer by Joan Samson, which was actually going to be made into one but it never happened sadly.

Not horror per se, but I'd love to see Ninth House adapted into a film or tv show, and I'd also love to see The Night Circus adapted. I didn't care for The Night Circus other than the writing and a few scenes, but I could see it as a movie I'd enjoy.

I read Gone to See the River Man yesterday after hearing about it from one of your videos. It was definitely dark, but it was a compelling read. Certain scenes would definitely make for great cinema.

Reviver sounds a lot like the show Pushing Daisies without the romance (or less romance. I don't know, I haven't read it lol).

I want to read Reviver. It reminds me of Tru Calling, tv series, and Anita Blake books. Since I just read the Mindf*ck series, I’d like to see it made into a movie.

The Long Walk - Stephen King, Devolution - Max Brooks, should be made into movies, also some extreme horror should be on screen.
