Keep in mind: If someone new to the channel shows up who is not familiar with his content it's good to not get surprised by spooky stuff. That just makes it even better. It acts as a (somewhat) warning for new viewers, but also makes his content comforting to watch for his core audience thanks to positive repetition. 10/10

A good policy, for the most part. A potentially better one would be, i answer work related calls (in case there's something important), but if my coworkers/superiors/boss abuse it to bitch at me about things, harass me about doing something extra or helping on a day off, have way too long unprompted small talk especially if i'm busy, etc... or whatever, more than once or twice once every 1~3 months, then i'm not answering calls from this workplace outside of actual obligations/outside of work anymore.

Manly mentioned that the voices could be fake and it probably was! Linda's call with Tom has him say that he is at the door of the factory and has unlocked it. However... In the post-credits scene, the news report states that they were last seen in the garage of Channel 7. But how can that be the case when Tom was at the factory and had a call with Linda? Which leaves two options. That the voice was faked. Or... Tom was the one who was doing the killings. The improved cell reception also supports the first theory. It's likely an IMSI catcher(aka a Stingray) which would allow for a call interception.
@FullMoonOctober
@FullMoonOctober Жыл бұрын
But if that is the case, then they needed to throw some more clues like having Linda question why Tom's voice sounded weird or why she didn't hear the helicopter land. Just more something to tell the story better.

Well it could also be possible that hearing from Linda and actually seeing her are described as two entirely different things... So that they may have heard from her that she was at the factory, but noone saw her there so it's not counted as the last location of sight 🤔

@@MARIon-qx5kl No I think the question being asked is that even with a voice changer, especially if this dates back to the 2000s, you can hear artifacts in the audio quality which would normally be the tell-tale signs of a voice changer. Even with voice changers in current year, you can still hear slight artifacts with most of them, giving a hint one way or another

I think I somewhat get it, though this might be a stretch. I'm guessing that the new owners turned the factory into a livestream service to post in gory websites. Actually the murderer could've been the person that bought the place himself, which emphasizes the guilt of the previous owner more. I suspect that the guy knows how to hack in video feed, which is how he's able to post the recording as a livestream. I also do suspect that he somehow messed with Linda's call and made her think she was calling the actual Tom since the game hinted that for some reason, the phone signal was stronger in that area than even in the town. It'd make a bit more sense since at the end, it's shown that no one, maybe even the producers themselves, knows where Linda and Erick actually went.

So the last bit where the news anchors said Linda and Eric were last seen in the news garage is some sort of clue that either 1) the news network owners are in on it, and Tom really was talking to Linda on the phone and was lying about the helicopter (I'm sure she'd have heard them landing?) and being outside to lure her out. Or it could be 2) the killer cloning the number and faking Tom's voice to lure her out, and so she never got in contact with anyone to tell them where they were stranded, and thus the news anchors were right about that being their last known location. I almost feel like option 1 is more likely, because they were obviously being stalked before, and it sounded like Tom was pressuring them to get that specific story done, pretty much sending them to the abandoned factory in the first place. They had so many other segments that they had ready to go, so why would it be that important to get it done before morning? The machine is still weird to me, too. It probably is some sort of cremation chamber/wood chipper type of thing, but they put enough emphasis on it in the story to made me think it was going to be something more.

Wait "last seen "Station Garage." Wait a minute.....did Tom send them to their doom? Because it almost sounds like there wasn't a helicopter on its way and Tom could tell people that they just disappeared and DIDNT go to the factory.....otherwise the reports on tv would of talked about "Last connected from the abandoned factory"

Yep, it's implied that Tom and possibly the news station is in league with the Red Door/red room stream. I think the stream might even have been tapped directly to the cameraman's feed, and for that to happen, I think someone in the news station has to be in on it.

@@user-hw9nc8yz1mThat is (sort of) debatable. Escapism, as in running away from your problems it's definitely not healthy at all and I'm not going to act like that is the correct way to handle your life. But escapism as a moment of respite, a way to get your thoughts together and as a rest can (in my opinion) truly help you. Obviously all should be done on it's fair measure, but I think that there's some kinds of actual positive escapism (but it all depends on your definition of the word in the end).

I love how Manly hears a noise before going thru the gate and goes "What's that!?" going back to look like some NPC or the protagonist in a horror movie. I mean I get it, it's a game and you don't want to miss any content, but it's really funny in the context of watching a main character make horror movie cliche mistakes.

I liked how it left me questioning what would happen to one or both of them every time they split up, which was about every five seconds lol. And I legit thought the uniform on the wall was a body from a distance. Nailed the atmosphere! But yeah the threat sequence was a really small fraction of the game which didn’t leave me much time to feel in suspense. Side note I like the variety of your videos! One day it could be a visual novel and the next an RPG Maker horror, it’s lots of fun.

I think Tom is most likely in on it because the end scene mention both Erick and Linda being last seen in the station garage when he knows they are in the factory. Some people think that the Tom in Linda's call is fake but I don't think so because there isn't a single hint that points to that. In addition, neither Erick nor Linda remembered about this second recording about unemployment, maybe Tom made it up to make them go to the factory. He also doesn't display any anger at Linda's forgetfulness about her assignment, maybe he is just putting on a show of being understanding? Not to mention his line of work would somewhat explain the snuff livestream, him having access to that sort of technology. Lastly, I'm getting the impression that this town is a small one because they mention most people are reliant on the factory for work and there isn't much other places to get employment, so how does the station manage to get a helicopter? It could be that they aren't local and is a decently sized station.

What was hidden in that rewinding tape? Who was the man in the car? Why did Linda dissapeared, leaving Erick alone? Why the hell did that whole bridge fall? Judging by what Linda said about her last camera man, I think she is also a raptor. She was paid to bring him to get him to dissapear there. That was the whole deal with "Tom" a.k.a. the killer. It is just that in this case, the killer wanted more, so he decided to also kill her. That explains all her lies and why she wasn't scared at all. But the bridge falling is uh something wack, perhaps the killer did it so Linda wouldnt escape?
@silentecho92able
@silentecho92able Жыл бұрын
I have a theory i think if we are to make an argument about the bridge maybe Linda knew about the Bridge will fall and that she and the killer knew a safer but longer way around the area. An maybe one reason why he killed her was probably cause she might have been with the last cameraman when he disappeared with Erick also disappearing. The Police might start questioning her about this sudden coincidence of another coworker she was with at the time and she might break under interrogation a reveal her accomplice. So the killer knowing that she is a potential threat to his identity has to get rid of her before police start snooping around and the killer has to skip town.

Biggest thing about the factory - it is said it was abandoned recently, but the environment looks like it has been decaying for decades. All the windows don't get shattered and the roads and parking lots don't get covered with dirt and hay in a few months or something. Also the bridge is ridiculous, a single lane wooden structure to connect to a factory of ~1000 workers?

This definitely doesn't seem sustainable for Tom. This is now at least 3 of his crew missing while on the job. And since he seems to be in charge, in places where he sent them. Even assuming there have been no disappearances that we weren't told about, there's now an established pattern for the police to follow.

I'm only at 5:26 in & it's already reminding me of a few reasons why we shouldn't pollute the environment: a long time ago, a river actually caught fire because of all the pollutants in it. Also during 1 nasty winter in Europe a bunch of people were burning cheap coal and driving everywhere to get presents and stuff. For days the smog was bad and people ended up dying or very sick from inhaling the smog. Turns out a rare reverse tornado was over the area keeping the smog down closer to the ground but it still forced them to take up a clean air act of their own.

@@wtf-why-do-we-have-handles-now Tom is definitely in on it, as he knew exactly where his reporter and cameraman went. Even more is that the Red Door stream might have tapped into their camera feed, and we can assume that Tom/the news company made that possible. (Which also explains why the signal there is good-- they've set up a new tower just for this.) And Tom's motivation is simple: Money. Red Door-- well, "red rooms" are supposed to be sites on dark web where people live stream stuff like violence, torture, and even death/murder. They probably get some profit out of that, and I assume Tom gets a cut. (Or maybe Tom is also sadistic and actually does watch the stream as well.) And to makes things worse? With the unemployment, I think more people will consider to become a reporter/cameraman, so Tom just have to send them out to do a report on the unemployment...
