It feels for me, that this guy does not exist. It is just her mind. Her guilt of killing people is haunting her. And this house is actually her house. That is why she has a key to it and knows where to go. Only your mind itself knows your past. And if you start to remember forgotten things, it is just like that; first just normal things but later it adds more detail.

As I understood for now this channel is for the new ideas in horror...giving for now unknown talents a voice ehhm a screen to persuade us into trusting them. If that is true i don´t want to see horror films in 20 yrs to come HONEST...they will become too scary for my feeble heart ;) (btw : Incidious 1 was the first horror film that REALLY scared me....after about 200+ other so called ones watched for "Entertainment" )

10 minutes is not 90 minutes. Try making a full length film from this short. You'll need to add story, characters, situations... It's not the same content you put in a full length film than in a short one. And there are great full length horror films btw, my favorite one is JU-ON: THE GRUDGE (2002). But I agree most of them suck.

Fantastic! In my interpretation it is all about her going mad and committing suicide. Her mom had committed suicide as well so she became a psychiatrist to cure suicidal people, however it only added to her own suicidal tendency. Everything is shown from her already depressed and altered perspective. The guy symbolizes suicide itself.... How it grows day by day....... The inevitability of fate..... So deeply sad.....A real piece of art this short.

2:03 They told me the same when I was 15, after first suicide attempt. I'm 21.5 and still waiting for the day that will happen. You can't change the world, so... NO. No need to lie about it to your patients. Psychologists and psychiatrists (had them both) will ask you 'how they can help you' all the time. Like it's your job as a patient to make it out for yourself or something... But when you DO make a suggestion, it will always end with excuses for why that can't be done. Even something as simple as asking for a hug ended with a: "It doesn't work that way here." plain, doable, outlined issues like: Asking for job advice, how to deal with daily stressors (for me dog barking, and dogs in general is a huge one; as well as tobacco smoke, I can stand incense and pure cannabis, but tobacco immediately takes away my limited concentration and motivation), dating advice and just making friends in general. You know, the things that actually matter in a person's life... Nope. Here, take some escitalopram, some bupropion, maybe some venlafaxine. I even had to suggest a certain medication and give an explanation myself, to a psychiatrist! A psychiatrist is a licensed doctor btw. That's the main difference with a psychologist. A psychiatrist can give you a prescription for drugs. A psychologist can't. And a therapist can mean lots of things, even I can call myself a therapist for that matter. It was remarkable they even - after a waiting period - finally provided me with something to eat besides bread and jam. (vegan) If it's about halal, you don't even have to ask. You can bet it's available everywhere. Not that any mediation, herb, supplement, etc. Has ever actually helped me in the first place. It just gives you side effects and physical withdrawal when quitting. Studies show less then half of people get any benefit from SSRI's. And most of it is placebo. I can't even imagine how terrible it would be in the US in comparison with Europe. Where you don't have the same insurance as we do here. A stay at a psychiatric hospital is expensive as hell. If hell has its thermostat on maximum all year long. The reasons why I still like some psychiatric hospitals (even the isolated one, with fences like in prison) are the same as why being at a boarding school was the best time of my youth. The structure and lessened isolation. You meet people, namely patients. It just happens as you both happen to be at the same place, at the same time. That's better then feeling lonely and having to dreadfully slump myself throughout every day as I do now. The worst part of psychiatry was being the exception they didn't want to see coming (they literally let me go because they didn't want me there anymore) and the tobacco stench passing to the sleeping rooms. To end this comment with a positive note. I'm impressed with the patients drawing(s) ! The artist they hired for this film sure got some chops.

Ooh that's some awful bullsh*t... I hope you'll be fine sooner. I get what you're saying even though I don't harm myself. It's like they are trying to sugarcoat everything instead of actually doing or saying what they need to say to make us feel better. I don't get it. It's like when you hate yourself and tell that to someone and they compliment you (to try to make you feel better, when they never have and it just makes you feel worse). I mean wtf I'm not that stupid lol but anyways, my story is different. idk I just hope you're feeling better now

@@fellix7531Thank you. Yes, I recently got a psychologist who actually seems to care. Care in the sense that he works together with me step by step instead of just a bit of talking and looking weird at me as, sorry to say it, all psychologists and psychiatrists I had before. This psychologist is actually still a younger person, but it feels like he knows more what he's doing. I'll see how it works out. Now with the corona pandemic my country is obligated to self isolate, so counselations are through videochat means, which isn't the same. But better then nothing.

@han9118
@han9118 3 жыл бұрын
Actually my understanding is pretty similar. In fact, if it was as many other people say that this guy does not exist and it's all in her head, this would be just another one of those tedious, pretentious and predictable films where the writer does not know what good storytelling looks like. I've seen quite many films where the only way to make sence of them is just 'it's all his/her imagination'. But good films don't work that way. Because films are essentially stories. And if your story concludes like "and all that's happened is just one's imagination", where if it wasn't, the story would not make any sense because characters wouldn't seem to have the right motives, right emotional responses , and even right common sense, then it's a bad story. Because there are so many other fields in visual arts that can achieve using moving pictures to stimulate emotional and even physical responses way better than just the format of a film. So telling your audience that nothing needs to make sense and characters don't really have to be reasonable (that is not to say they have to be in their right mind) becuase it's just imagination seems to be purely bad storytelling.

Love how the film forces you to empathize with the psychiatrist as she's slowly driven mad. Almost makes you question if she's as sane as she appears to be in the beginning. Would have loved some more details about her relationship with her mom, but all in all a solid horror/thrill ride. Best shot @ 9:25, the warm light cast in the bg of that dead body made it even creepier

@@keithadams1 the painter story is a short story from Lovecraft called Pickman's Model published in 1926. As far as the X-Files it just had that awesome feel of a great episode. Honestly this short was so good you should really do an anthology movie. There's not many made which is a shame, and if you can crank out more diamonds like this it would be a must see.
