When teenage Rae realizes her stepfather has been stealing her mother's medication as her mother inches closer and closer to death, she has to make a decision regardless of her morality... Quiet. Calculated. Strong. And now fearless. LeRoy will find out who his stepdaughter is when her back is against the wall... literally.

Rae has a plan to ace the SAT, get into college, and help her sick mother. There's only one thing standing in her way -- her mother's toxic boyfriend, Leroy, who keeps drinking away the tuition money her mother had saved for her.
When Rae finds out Leroy has been stealing her mother's pain pills, she does the unthinkable to save herself and her mother. She slaughters her step father in her family's meathouse, and processes the body to sell for grocery money on the side of a dusty backroad.

The way the film-makers depict abuse is very refreshing- he's not some evil villain, striding into the room menacingly like a shark while she cowers in the corner. He doesn't know and revel in his own villainy. He's selfish, childish, he thinks it's funny to sexually assault her, it's all a big game to him and there's no acknowledgement of how much of an ass he actually is. This feels a lot more real than some more dramatized depictions.

Young people and those who are terminally online watch and read revenge-stories and are unable to separate them from the real life. "omg saaame", yeah. Love revenge and fortnine. Your life motto. Zero understanding of the world. Probably believing in idealism, which has been refuted and not understanding how humans work. Nobody deserves anything. People are just what their environment, genes and culture programmed them to be. You included. You don't have free will or any decisionmaking in how you turn out as a human. And you should be lucky about that, because if you had free will and decide to play fortnite instead of doing activism for human rights all day, you would and should be judged.

EASY?!?! As a forensics scientist, it is NOT easy to murder someone and get away with it. Trust me, I have tried. So get your facts right before you speak to murderers who work mega hard at their profession.

Not a good signal for our current world. And this type of story has already been done so many times. As the writer and producer you should also be aware of this perspective/criticism.

@@bdarecords_ Stories like these have been done before, but that’s not the point. It’s cathartic for abuse victims to watch things like this and cit doesn’t normalize anything. It’s a horror short that was supposed to be gorey. Even if it’s not your personal cup of tea, it’s still a well done story.

Wicked and sick in a way that still delivers. We get a revenge short that satisfies because of the sheer level of cruelty and abuse we witness in the beginning. The story is pretty tight and to the point. Much of the gore is left to our imagination. Makes you think twice about buying fresh meat on the roadside. Maybe she'll go to college and be a surgeon. Oh the possibilities. Great work to all involved. Peace.

Wow that was an amazing 11 minute play. I would love to meet the cast in a chatroom. The setting was interesting here, I guess she was tired of her dad taking advantage of her and her mom, so she fought back hard with knives/weapons!

LoL, back in the Day of World of Warcraft , a Video showing an entire party getting wiped out by dragons was making the rounds. Apparently some Player charged half-cocked into the Dragon's Lair to slay dragons whilst yelling " LEEEEEEROY JENKENS !!!!!" . Of course when everyone else ran in to fight or be killed anyway ,so may just as well fight , EVERYONE got wiped and of course that " Leroy Jenkens" Guy caught a whole lot of flak. 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉⚔⚔⚔☠💀💀☠☠🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@flux1968 It was a bunny cage actually. Growing up, there was a lot of clutter in my home. Nonsensical things that my step-father just wouldn't get rid of. I just love this and this genre in general. I love how usually it's never explained fully, thereby giving it countless explanations from our imaginations. I'm so turned off to the movies that do.
