Forget playing the game, going to the editor and seeing a model of Catnap meticulously observing your shenanigans WHEN YOU ARE ACTIVELY BREAKING HIS WORLD'S RULES is a freaking nightmare fuel. I know exactly how it's done, it's a very simple code telling the instance to always turn to face the camera, but the fact it runs in isolation and continues to track the player even out of bounds still creeps me out. Next time you play Chapter 3, just remember - "Catnap is watching you" isn't just a creepy saying. He does. For real.

Horrorscoped feels like when your scared at a haunted house, and the employees show you how the place works and it seems way less scary now

There's a lot of appearances of the characters that I've never noticed, like Kissy on the balcony. It's really cool to see.

Man, even when CatNap wasn't an active threat after to kill you instantly, he was a constant looming threat throughout the chapter That and his horrifying appearance makes up for that. He's always there no matter what. Also him spraying his gas into the fan in the air vent, what a jerk. I like that detail that he gave that an attempt

You can see catnap unloading on the last time he appears, the devs made it so u can’t run, but if u hold run while going through the gas, you will still be running, as long as you don’t let go of shift, you can catch up to him enough to see him unload

The massive grab pack hands are your model when you die they disappear So they just reset the values to default 1 Which is surprisingly bigger for most objects. The grab pack is most likely Scaled down to the correct size for the screen

Not gonna lie, the entire Home Sweet Home segment was the turning point in how i saw this chapter and game as a whole. The gas nightmare, the morbid radio transmission, that breaking speech in a hospital with a surprisingly smooth and creepy animation of Huggy crawling out if the Tv was the moment this game went from mildly scary to utterly terrifying. The rest of the chapter was only rising rhe bar, and if this is what third chapter is like, i cannot imagine what the next ones will be like.

The fact Catnap's head follows you, even when in dev mode, it's freakin creepy

Nice video. There are also some cool things you can do in normal mode in this part of the map. When you enter Home Sweet Home if you hold Shift the whole time you can run up and see Catnap quite close, also outrun Huggy Wuggy to the end of the hallway (which ends) before it eats you. If you stand on the the video recorder close to the wall, Huggy Wuggy will just pass you by. Of course you can't continue in the game if he doesn't eat you.

Even the first time I saw HuggyWuggy climbing out of the TV I was amazed how good the effect was. Now that you even show that they also used a particle transition effect it is even more amazing because I can't think of how it is actually programmed or designed in the endinge. It's not like a video editor with effect presets just putting between two video slices. But it is so disappointing that Catnap is not doing anything all the time besides looking scary and stalking you kind of. This model/character could have so much more potential of scaring you or beeing a threat, like making very creepy breath noises when close to you and you have to look at him to make him go away. If you ignore him you get killed/jumpscared. But not all the time, just when nothing happened for a while. He keeps following you and stalking around cornes much more often and dynamically depending on where you are. Yea that is a lot more work than these static animations but it is still a horror game that should have had more gameplay than walking simulator vibes.

I love Catnap’s design. It looks like a contorted human skeleton wrapped in fabric, not only that though. The stance makes it so much creepier. You know when a cat gets scared and arches its back? It looks like that, permanently.
