Especially when the food is mashed, soupy, alfalfa cubes!😋 This is an older horse and to maintain a healthy weight, he eats this feed and absolutely loves it, as you can see. He's very smart, using his snout as a tool to knock over his bowl so the alfalfa mash falls out, flat on the ground, after taking a lick on the horseshoe salt block on the wall. He uses a full range of motion to enjoy all these culinary delights ~~ an assistant in the making here for our very own Julia Childs in the kitchen. :-D

I used to love hearing my horse eat. I would hold an apple with my teeth and he would bite it in half. Such a gentle Guy.

Why is she having a lot of trouble eating her food. She's spit it out several times. I've never seen horse have such a time? Is it a different way you fixed it?

@@SoTheAdventure maybe it needs more warm water, usually older horses will have trouble eating when the food is too clumpy or when they have dental issues. I dont know your horse very well, but maybe it can help!😊
