Hey guys! Champ is currently in the big field, also with grass, which he is loving haha😍 we have also taken other steps to help him and Anouk(the owner) is super open to everything. - Build up energy and frustration from tiny sand paddock, no horse friends - Pain by unbalanced hind quarters and shoulders, despite owner claiming he was vet checked by many many vets with "there's no pain" - Still wearing double blankets despite coming into dutch spring meaning it's already 15-20 degrees Celsius !!WAY TOO HOT!! - Painful tooth or pain from a bit leisure - Frustration from always being told he's a problem and everyone telling him "don't do that" "don't do this" - Developed stereotypical behavior (chewing, "foal mouthing"), not enough forage and possible ulcers? - Doesn't want to be touched - especially on the hind. Shivering or poorly developed pelvis bones due to too much load and strain before his body was ready for that - Can't live up to the owners aspirations - pushed and pressured to do what owner wants, with disappointment and punishment when he isn't living up to her expectations This is everything me and many others were already saying in the FIRST video, and there has still not been any change by the owner to better his quality of life. ----- Please horse people, stop being so arrogant and step down from your high horse (no pun intended), we ALL can learn from each other! ----- If someone is telling you "your horse moves unevenly, he looks to be in pain" don't ever just reply with "he was checked, it's not pain." Because PAIN CAN NEVER BE RULED OUT. If the horse displays behavior or movements that suggests pain, there is most likely pain somewhere. I just wish for the horse world to open your minds and LISTEN to the horses. Horse behavior never lies.

When she said Champ didn't want to be seen or talked about as a problem, that got to me.

Not only him, every horse is made for living in a herd together with other horses!

Champ saying "Don't touch me" so often, makes me think that other's don't usually respect his boundaries

"I'm not your partner...💔" That f%ckin killed me...A lot of people say my horse and me aren't a good match but I love him so much...Uufff I hope Champs owner is OK...That would have hurt me to the core

I foster horses for a rescue that works with law enforcement to seize neglected &/or abused horses. I have seen the power of the herd and the benefits of allowing a horse time to just be a horse. All horses are individuals but every horse is just a horse. Give them the time, space & herd they need and you will reap the rewards that a happy horse can give.

I think Simone was right on. I don't think the owner wanted to hear that this horse really isn't a match for her, but I don't think he is. That's ok, I know a lot of us have purchased a horse and tried to make them fit what we want and it doesn't work. This may help the owner realize that a different horse may make her dreams come true and make her happy. This horse is beautiful and would easily find a new home with someone who matches his personality.

He has a highly active brain - it NEEDS to be stimulated for him to be able to rest, which can only be accomplished by: --- Big field where he can get a LOT of movement (horses move approx. 15-25 km every day in a natural habitat) --- HORSE FRIENDS to play and interact with!! --- Enrichment such as stuff to smell, stuff to taste, stuff to chew and munch on, stuff to bite and pick up - minerals, balls, toys, stuffed animals, branches, herbs, brain games ETC Do this and you would have a much happier horse that will be VERY grateful to you!!

Poor Champ - he's so young, only 6 yrs. old. He has so much energy & wants to move... but he is hurting. I'm thinking it is a combination of issues, like teeth, hip, maybe ulcers & ??? No young horse.... & as no young child wants to not be able to move like they want to. I noticed his interactions towards his human Mom. Wants attention but semi-aggressive, yet without a mean bone in his body. It's like he's saying: "Mom, help me, I'm SOOO uncomfortable & I don't know why." Thanks to Jesse for posting, for Simone for interpreting..... & for Champ's owner for sharing this. We all learn so much. Thank you all!

I’m very impressed by her professional but kind expression. I know telling anyone that their horse isn’t happy or the partner you want is extremely hard. Yet we can’t grow without the truth. ❤

It breaks my heart that horses are bought and sold, over and over again, as mere commodities and if there’s a disconnect with an owner it’s the animal who suffers. If you can’t give your dog, cat or horse the companionship and love and care they need, don’t bring them into your world. Champ is an unrecognized masterpiece, and the days are passing and his life spark is waning as his frustration grows. I pray his needs are met. There is no such thing as a problem animal, only problem people. 🙏

It is obvious from the start of the video that there is a disconnect between the owner and the horse. This beautiful horse deserves so much better. I hope she is compassionate enough to find him the kind of guardian and rider he deserves.

This horse is so much like my horse was. Also a gelding, he never really got the message. He was so very playful, and I either had to change my expectations or sell him again. I did the first thing, learnt to live with the moment, take what he was willing to give. I learnt a lot about groundwork, because he enjoyed this a lot. I even did a little bit of jumping, because he liked it. Basically, he was a workaholic. He also really suffered when he had to stay alone and could not be with other horses. The first year, I had him in a conventional box with some turnout, because I did not know any better. He was really bored and quite rough and showed his digging abilities. Then I put him into a permanent stallion/gelding herd (which was difficult to find), and from that moment everything got better. That was what he really needed. I also got thorough training in classical dressage (pure English rider until then), and that helped also a lot. Basically, I had to change. That is the most difficult thing if you own such a horse with such a giant personality. I really had to get rid of the thought "at age X, he has to do this and that, at age Y this, and so on." In the end, when he was 13 years old, we did Piaffe and Passage no problem, but he had to learn it the real way, not as a trick as it is normal today for sports horses. IMO, Champ is the same. The owner has to find a way to work, or better play with him, his way. If she cannot accept this fact, it will be a disaster in the making. And yes, Jesse would be an excellent fit for him.

Next do a horse chiropractor and dentist work. Love this horse communication it was very enlightening! ❤️🙏🏽

Horses at this age are still making many many structural changes in their bodies. Jaw bones are growing , their hips are changing and their spines are also changing. And when the body changes so is the brain. He’s a big boy . Give him time he’ll be fine.

The from the first video I knew this horse was having pain in his hip that was causing compensation pain throughout his body. Having that much pent up energy in a body that hurts when he expresses it will naturally cause mental frustration. Sometimes it’s hard to understand and accept when an animal that has come into our care isn’t a good fit for us long term. The most loving thing we can do is release them to a more appropriate home. SO glad he’s finally getting heard and what he needs!!!

I'm so happy you did this, I really think Champ needed a chance to express himself. He reminds me of bottle raised foals, who don't have enough boundaries with humans but also don't fully fit in with other horses. Perhaps giving him a voice will help him feel a little more bonded to humans.

This series of videos with Simone reminds me very powerfully that there is a world of unseen things, and that it is full of energy that I do not understand yet. This does not mean that the energy is not there. What my eyes see and what I feel is not the whole world. It is MY world, but it is not the entire world. It is arrogant to dismiss things we do not see or understand as nonsense. I value these videos because they enrich my understanding, and I thank Jesse and Simone for sharing them.

So, Champ is the right name for him and he needs a chiropractor/massage/etc. and to relieve bodily stress by running around with horse budddies in a bigger area. Champ is definitely a really interesting character/subject for horse pychic.

I can’t say it enough honestly, even as a loving owner unfortunately often you can’t trust the professionals anymore.. I see more and more saddles that are poorly fitted with delusional saddle sellers/ fitters and even with the vets, dentists, hoofs and even feeds, like in any other industry that are looking mainly at money or are incompetent. You honestly don’t even know what to do if you can’t trust the people you’re paying. I would love a collab with Hof Eicheneck, it’s a German KZfaq channel, she works as a holistic approach through her experience with horses, physio, kinesiology and I’ve been shocked at the things she sees over and over from well meaning horse owners. I feel Champ's excessive playing and physicality no matter how much he's trained, is partly due to his COMPENSATING for the physical imbalance that Simone the communicator spoke of. I've seen this before in horses, and when they get chiropractic and massage therapy, the behaviour almost immediately changes for the better. Everyone is happier: horse and person!

This was wonderful! Totally different but I just adopted a male cat who was labeled anti social and quiet I live alone and enjoy my retirement He has become super talkative and very affectionate I’ve learned to read his body language and eye movements and he watches mine 😉

I feel this horse needs a very experienced rider that is very black and white but also on the patient side. He gives the energy of a teenage boy that is like “PUT ME IN COACH!!” But has no older wiser “coach” to turn to for direction and good boundaries. Once he’s with a confident patient rider and has some years to mentally mature and get experience, I bet he grows up into a phenomenal horse. If he doesn’t get the right person at this time in life I think he will grow up into a menace that never really connects to humans. I can tell he’s mouthy because he has so much pent up energy and not enough stimulation that he uses it as a type pacifier or self soother.

This lady is great! I hope Champ can have his physical discomforts remedied now that they are known and he is able to have a human who is able to worth with him to his liking.

I am very happy that Champ is outside in the field. But this horse definitely needs to live in a herd, outside with other horses he can play with. Training comes later, training has not priority at the moment! His childhood was much too short!

I've been waiting soooo long for this! What a darling boy. So confident and sure in himself. I think this helped explain alot for his owner and maybe she can change course with him. Maybe he'd love to do liberty with her on the ground so he can get all that energy out in a way that's fun for him and not scary for her. Dit zal best een moeilijke sessie zijn voor de eigenaar en tenzij deze toegeeft niet capabel genoeg te zijn, dan zal Champ nog meer uit de kast moeten halen om dat duidelijk te maken. Ik ken niet zijn afstamming maar zou zomaar Jazz in kunnen zitten en die staan bekend als zeer sensibel en hoog in het bloed. Daar moet je mee om kunnen gaan. Als dit de eigenaars eeste paard is dan is hij werkelijk veel te veel. Als je (nog) niet zeker bent van jezelf en/ of genoeg inzicht hebt op intuïtie niveau dan werkt het (nog) niet. Wees daar alsjeblieft eerlijk in ook naar jezelf en ga ondertussen oefenen/ met een rustig paard om uit het opgelopen trauma te komen. We humans have the ability to determine the fate of animals in our care. It had to be hard to hear, "I can't make her dreams come true." I, formerly competitive, blush to think how many of my own animals in the past 70 years would have said that had they been given the opportunity. At least in my lifetime there has been a recognition that they have a voice, even if many humans are unwilling to listen.

It would be amazing if a vet could verify Champ has some physical problems (limitations) that makes him act the way he does sometimes. Something I love to see is that he is beginning to trust, maybe even love you. Wonderful situation you and Champ have going.

Very interesting Simone is chewing and moving her lips and jaw like Champ around 7:10. Champ chews the rope and Simone mimics the movements may be unconsciously. There are exercises in Feldenkreis where movements of the jaw and putting your tongue to the teeth actually counting with teeth with the tip of your tongue inside within the gum and below the lips to bring your attention and concentration back to the head, staying awake and focussed if you are in a situation which bothers you ether consciously or unconsciously. Very, very impressive what Simone can see within this very, very short window of time meeting him. Nonverbal communication with animals and or with humans is heavily underestimated. Simone, I really appreciate your sensitivities. They’re really needed. Just watching this gelding as you communicate, I can clearly see he responds to you, in each little movement and expression. Interesting, his owner tightened his lead. He gently reached over and took it from her in his mouth. As you spoke about his feelings of independence and greatness and existing mouth pain, he took more and more of the lead, in loops. How could he be more clear? Please loosen his lead, he says, I need room, I deserve room. And to please check his teeth again. Jesse, also, if you could let Simone connect to him without questions or distractions until afterward? Please? This horse is SO expressive! Your descriptive word “defensive” sounds right to me, (here at such a distance,lol). I think your further descriptions sound spot on about this big, proud, beautiful, confident, loving but defensive boy. Good Lord … We’re describing my oldest son. Big, bold, handsome, highly expressive and successful, active, active, active, hilarious, loving and loves to be loved, proud of himself, hard worker, needs to be around people, a leader, dealing with muscle spasm from a herniated disc ..… but he never quite grew up. Which is ok. Jheesh. Would this horse, right now, ever be quite happy with dressage training? Can he jump?

Simone is still amazing and interesting to listen to. Champ is a lovely horse with a strong personality. He needs attention and he would like to be seen as a great horse and not a horse with a problem. He is very energetic and this energy should be channelled and used in a positive way. He needs to move, run and play but he is not doing this so he is frustrated. I feel sorry for Anouk who had plans with her horse. Humans and animals have the same feelings: fear, frustration, sorrow, jealousy... and each one expresses them in its own way. It would probably be good for Champ to do some light training, games, rides to occupy his mind and release his energy. I've had my horses read twice by an animal psychic twice - I LOVED it!!

I like horse communicator better than psychic. The connotation of the latter is not unlike what a ouija board draws upon … and opens doors that should not be opened. I felt during the first video or two that the horse was dealing with an injury or something along these lines. He reacted to Jesse in a way a horse does due to pain and/or discomfort. If he has ulcers … a common cause may be insufficient hay … these are grazing animals and need roughage … or to be turned out more. She really picked up on his disrespect for his owner … he’s got her # and being a confident horse he’ll pick up on fear. He needs a confident owner that won’t put up with his. Lilting ways … as he’s a lot of horse. I’m sure the message was not what she wanted to hear! But on the flip side maybe she needs to hear this … their relationship is more of a grind! I do hope she doesn’t take it badly!

I love Simone and the work she does, and I appreciate Jesse and Matt taking in new information. This horse is very playful and has not been “seen,heard, felt or gotten” so like a belligerent teenager plays up. No one is listening to his EQUUS (language). The mouthing is a need for connection, engagement and the need to get that out of his system, most likely from trauma stemming from being weaned by force earlier than he was ready for. He needs someone to build trust rebought connection and relationship. I feel only then will this sweet big boy flourish.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I clicked onto this video but so far I agree with everything Simone has said. She seems to really be able to tune in with what Champ is feeling. I do feel sorry for this horse :( or any horse that’s described by it’s owner as a problem. It’s almost always the humans that are/have problems. Wether it’s with our expectations and demands of horses or ourselves. When I got my horse he was a cheap project horse that had all these issues supposedly… it was hard at first whilst we learned to understand each other but a year/year and a half of learning about him and he has been my soul horse ever since. He could often act a bit stallion like, very playful and cheeky. He still can be but that’s who he is as a person. He’s 22 now & still my absolute world, We don’t do as much anymore and I never went to any kind of pressured environments with him but we have just had fun together going for hacks, cantering through fields and lots of ground work. Not every horse wants and needs to be the “perfect all rounder” you have to work to find what the horse needs to thrive.

As some other people have already written: The owner does not suit the animal. It has nothing to do with the fact that she can't seem to work with him. It doesn't even have anything to do with maybe riding qualifications. It's just this "interpersonal". They are not on a wavy line nor does she seem to be emotionally attached to the horse in any way. If someone had told me that my horse thought they weren't a good match - I would have cried. The owner doesn't seem moved, in general she seems physically present but not mentally. (I already thought so in the first video) Even if it will be difficult for her in the serious moment, she should say goodbye to the horse. And then maybe it would be time for an osteopath / chiropractor. An energetic friend and stretching every day. Maybe magnetic field therapy would be something as well as fascia treatment - both are great to do at home alone.

The first time I saw Champ I was drawn to the front of his withers. I wondered if he had flipped over backwards. Acupuncture can work wonders. I use to work with racehorses and saw a lot of problems with handlers treating the horses like property instead of a living being with feelings. Plus I was in a wreck, rear ended by a truck. The doctor said I was fine but my neck kept coming out of alignment. I suffered for years until I discovered acupuncture…., it worked !!! I had tried physical therapy & chiropractic therapy and those did nothing to help. I’ve seen acupuncture help many horses & people. And I was wondering if Champ’s surgery….being gelded ….. was completely successful ? I’ve been around a handful of those that one testicle didn’t drop. Therefore the hormones & even pain can cause problems. Just like in the way Champ is acting out. I picked up on him thinking of himself as royalty and he wants to be called …… Cristaus …. pronounced - Cree staus. He thinks Champ is like Chump and he says “I am handsome & regal.” He really is a great character ❤❤❤ He really loves you Jesse. I hope Anouk finds her horse soul mate. Nothing can compare when you do.

When we humans are born, we are all animal communicators. It is a special person who is able to keep in touch with that gift and use it in adulthood.
