Great cover of an amazing song. I tried to explain to my wife the history to each stanza and she told me to stop after Saladin haha. Glad I have sons to explain to one day.

Thanks so much! I remember hearing this song for the first time and how impactful it was. I had to research almost all of the stanzas to find imagery but it was all worth it. You might like my cover of 'Wernher von Braun' by Foundring...even more to explain to those sons :)

Yeah my brother introduced me to him a few months ago, I've been practicing a few more of his songs too! I actually had no idea the ducks were there at the time, only found out when reviewing the footage. They were very cool!

Great cover of an excellent song. A couple of points that may make it even better for your voice. Instead of EnglishMAN, try EnglishMUN. It'll fit better with the rhyming from the previous sentence. Second, a "dragoon on a don" should be a dragoon on a DUN which is simply a tan colored horse. Dun also fits very well with the cossack on the RUN. BTW.... de le guerre means "of the war", while Las de la guerre means War weary. I think Corb Lund meant "of the war". Again, a great cover and very much appreciated. I'm stealing your chords! Thanks for a great video.

This is such a great song. I spent 4 hours researching all the verses and events. The killing of the Royal Mounted Police was quite the story. The last verse with the Polish cavalry against the Germans in WW2 is quite the story. @@peacedozer
