Horsehair worms are an entirely parasitic animal phylum. As adults, these worms live in streams, ponds, rivers... your toilet(!), but horsehair worm larvae live inside arthropods. Preferably terrestrial arthropods. Which means for the adults to return to water they have to mind control their hosts back into the water. It can be a gruesome affair. Thankfully, horsehair worms want nothing to do with us!
Scientific Name: Phylum - Nematomorpha
Range: worldwide except Antarctica
Size: an inch (2.54cm) to more than 6.5 feet (2m) in length
Diet: absorb nutrients from arthropod hosts
Lifespan: a few months to a few years

I think I have some of these worms living in me but they are not showing up in my stool, X-rays or CT. I feel all different species all over my body under my skin, the long ones feels the worst. What you may not know is that they control you with their stingers on their antenna that hurts so bad and they join their bodies to make a tight rope around their host body, neck and ears. They work well together at every stage of their life cycle to help the large worm kill squeeze the life out of it’s host and exit there body. They can enter humans and cause terrible pain and agony. I got them from newly dug whale water. Pray for me and help me if you can please. Doctors can’t find them; thus will not treat me. Please contact if you can help me!!😢

Clearly you've never had to deal with a dog being de-wormed. Dogs have much stongerr stomach acids than we humans do, because of what they eat, and how their digestive tract is set up. I once had to rescue a female Dachshund, and took her to the vet to get her checked out and vermifuged. Doc gave me a pill to give to he with some food, and within about an hour, she threw up. The bit that chilled my blood was watching several worms come up, each writing animatedly in the puddle. They died within a few seconds, but clearly stomach acid strong enough to dissolve bone had no effect on them.

I really appreciate you covering the Horsehair Worm. Several years ago I killed a beetle or a cricket, I can’t remember exactly but it was one or the other, and immediately after I killed it a thin worm like creature crawled out of it. The entire experience totally creeped me out and at the time I didn’t know what I had just witnessed. Thanks to this video I now know what it was.

Asia and saw a BUNCH of these Lil bastards coming up out of a drain in the shower. Freak show shit. I dumped boiling water down the drain then ran the shower a while. I waited and...... more started coming out. I went and got a room at a different hotel. Never knew what they were til now and that was in 2008.

I remember finding one of these when I was like 8. I was out camping and I found a cool blue praying mantis that was moving sluggishly and wasn’t aggressive. I sprayed some water on it just to see what it would do (because I was a dumb kid and had a bit of a mean streak for bugs) and it falls to the ground and starts convulsing, and lets out this massive wriggling brown thing. No one believed me and I eventually thought I had dreamt it up so it’s nice to have that experience validated

About a year ago, I kill a cricket that somehow found its way from my basement, up two flights of stairs, went down my hallway, into my bathtub in my master bedroom. I was super confused on why it specifically went to my tub. I killed it and out popped this 3 inch worm. I had zero idea what it was, but I knew it was using the cricket as a host. I balled the worm up in a tissue and set it on fire. I was worried it would somehow find a way to my pups. Thanks for the information.

Theres an epidemic of stray cats in my neighborhood that I keep an eye on. Take the hurt or sick cats to the vet, get every cat I can get my hands on fixed. I feed a couple who cant get food at the other places cause they get beat up. I spent the stim checks fixing 10 of these cats. Anyways, I see them eat grass every once in a while, and thats when they get worms. They all all do the same thing, eat some grass, then throw up the worms and I think they're these. There thin, white and long. The cats drink puddles and eat bugs so it makes sence. Right now I have a little black kitten who needs a home. Neighbors abuse these cats, hes in for a rough life if he doesn't make it put of here. His name is Sinna. He's liter trained. He's ready to be an indoor cat cause i trained him in my garage. He's all black with a white triangle on his chest. Him and his two siblings were abandoned by mama, and close to death when I found them. I found his two siblings a home. Sinna got the short end of the stick. I just recently took in another pregnant cat in too. She's not having the babies though unless I find a home for all for them too. Ive found 5 of these cats homes. I adopted 4 others. I'm doing all I can and it's still not enough. Story is much deeper than this. I'm facing charges for " threatening " an off duty cop I watched maim a kitten. My kitten, one of the 4 I adopted. I almost lost it and ended up in Prison. Instead I kept my cool and still face bogus charges😂 Feel like fucking Jon Snow. I'm just trying to do what's right and I somehow always end up punished for it.

@yesican2012

This is reason enough to make SURE edible insects are grown in a controlled environment. The body doesn't care where its protein comes from, as long as it gets it. With disasters increasing worldwide, along with animal die offs, insect farming may become our major source for protein. We can't get rid of them. The FDA approves a certain percentage of insect parts in our food: rodent hair & poop, mold, insect heads, mites, maggots, etc. So, whether we admit it or not, we all have been eating insects in one form or another.😏
@marks6663
@marks6663 2 жыл бұрын
@@yesican2012 The FDA is also an incredibly corrupt organization in bed with the biggest corporations. BTW, there are no increasing disasters. Look at the numbers. Hurricanes are actually down from their historic norm. And there are no animal "die offs" that are not also normal. You don't need animal protein. I haven't had animal protein in 30 years. Became a vegan and much healthier for it.
