Those tower crane guys got to be making really big bucks. Nice vid as usual.

They are Union Riggers and yes they do OK. It’s dangerous work and you have to trust the crew you are working with implicitly. But crane work often has to occur on weekends and sometimes holidays. That’s when they make real money. Nothing like double time to motivate someone.

I have been wanting to comment for a while. My Son Nathaniel, he is six years old and he has been obsessed with your hospital construction channel for about 3 years or so. He has re-watched so many episodes, I think we know some by heart..lol, the music too. He LOVES cranes SO so so so much, that is his thing. He has loved them for years. He looks forward to your new video every Saturday, at 5:30pm. Like a TV show! =) ---- He was bummed about last Saturday, but totally understood that you are busy. He was SO excited for a part 1 & part 2. Thanks for your awesome videos! =)

That's fun to know, thanks for the comment. I do have to say, though, that these aren't specifically designed for children, so I can't guarantee that everything in them is always 100% appropriate for small children...

Biggie is a large National company providing cranes and rigging of all types, not just tower. For instance they have provided a number of large crawler luffing Jib cranes for the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin. It’s been an interesting construction project too. They don’t have anyone set up with a number of still cameras like this project but do have a few guys who go there every day with drones. Elon game them permission to overfly the property so they’ve done a remarkable job of documenting the build so far.

Great work - thanks, I hope when this building is finished you will have another construction to document. The thought crossed my mind given the end use of the building if the architectural detail of the fangs was a reference to a stairway to heaven.

The crane dismantle really a great work. There are brave and with subtle mind I hsve ever work with them. The most difficult case I have ever done with them to dismantle a tower crane which tombled down by typhoon at Taiwan. Really amazing memory.

I rocked up on a site one time with a delivery of bricks. I jumped of of my truck and walked up to the front of the crane for a look. I couldnt see how he got in behind the concrete wall. Just then some guys in hard hats came up so I said how the hell did he get in there? he is like 1" away from the wall. Some driving. They couldnt believe me. It turned out the Crane had just lifted the counterweights from a tower crane and the eye broke. It came down right in front of the lorry crane and buried itself vertically about two feet into the ground. Two seconds later I arrived completely oblivious to the accident, patted and inspected the lovely wall. They weren't too happy with security for moving the cones clearing me in to that area. I was a bit shocked at how close I had come in seconds and feet to being a pancake. It would have been a very fast execution though. Moral of the story accidents do actually happen.

Expensive delivery. Cost of the crane for 5 mins must be well over $100.

This place is very pricey for an assisted living location. $7800 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath. $15,100 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Although, all meals included along with pretty much everything included in the price. The only you need to worry about is making that payment
