“The clutch sucks”… well of course you would say it sucks because a major part of your business is selling upgrades to clutches. If it was perfect then there goes your profit.

Definitely agree with you on the clutch . I have 2 of the 1000's and clutch slips a little when in high gear, haven't noticed any slipping in low. The heat has not been a issue with either machine tho.

Love my gen 2 2024 800xc. It’s completely stock. I was really thinking about a clutch kit and ecu tune but decided to just accept the machine for what it is . In reality stock has more then enough power and is plenty fast

I would add that the fan running blows the heat at you. On my 2022 Overland, when I relocated the radiator up top the air blowing from it would burn my hands so bad that it started to blister. I have to put a exhaust shield up to block and redirect the heat. I bet you the fans are adding the heat also since it sits low and blow the heat right back at your legs.

hey brother i had a Polaris years ago that if you were riding slow in hot weather it would get you pretty dang hot' you can saddle it with a saddle blanket for time being so you can enjoy riding

I haven't had any belt slip on mine, and heat has been very tolerable. It is a 1000 but I dont think that matters

Yeah very very similar units. Idk why it gets super hot. I’m going to tune it and see if that helps.

Maybe you should have driven the quad easy for the first 100 miles, because that's the break-in period, to get the belt at place, you were doing wheelies the first ride 🤣. Luckily, my X10 has no issues with that. About DAC, i don't like how it behaves on flat surface in L at all, but at steep hills, it does magic for me.

That has nothing to do with it. If a clutch is properly tuned you won’t have belt slip.

The heat is not a deal breaker for me. The only thing I don't like about these new bikes is they're getting a little too complicated High and low is all you really need. I just don't think we need all these different drive modes and the drive by wire. I never had a problem with any of my old 4 wheelers Like the manual shift into 4 wheel drive instead of servos doing it now. Do we really need all this complicated stuff on machines that spend most of their life being abused. Don't get me wrong it's nice when it works But when these machines are old how much of this stuff still gonna work.

Honestly it could not even be the cat it could be the tune is way lean to lower emissions thus creating more heat in the exhaust and engine

This video looks to be pretty much all low speed, low gear. My 800 and Overland will both cook you doing that.

You’re supposed to be in low or you’ll cook the clutches. High is for open fast trails. Were in the high country climbing up

@@R.N.GPerformance I wasn't disputing if you should be in high or low, just stating my machines would be on fire too if running that way. They have both been tuned, cat deleted, exhaust wrapped and I avoid running in low as much as possible, they get very hot.

Those things are junk.Why can't they put the correct clutch in from the factory. If they can't install the proper clutch what else can't they do right. This has been an ongoing problem with c f moto since the very beginning . People know this and they still buy them lol😂

I have not , I have however , owned honda , yamaha and suzuki With no problems whatsoever . Highly considering buying a 2024 kawasaki brute force 750 later this year. All Japanese a t v /motorcycles are built solid and very reliable. I am 47 yrs old and Within that time I have had 8 for most part trouble free
