@Soulwhodreams It simply stands for deluxe. The DX line of hot toys figures are pretty much standard Hot Toys figures with; "PERS" which stands for the parallel eye rolling system, much more elaborate packaging, and usually a good deal of extra accessories and or dioramas/backdrops. That being said, there have been standard Hot Toys figures that arguably rank higher than DX figures among collectors. Wendy's cool with the Superman box as well. Thanx for watching & commenting. @Michaelmath53326 Yes, we got it from Sideshow, we always try to get the exclusives when it's a special piece for us. The color bleeding is very slight, I took a picture but it didn't even show up in the photo. I had to mention it though. So long as it doesn't bleed it won't be a problem. You're gonna love this guy either way. I just wish he had more accessories. The Fortress of Solitude is cool but, I rather he just went straight DX. Thanx for watching and commenting. Hi, we did think the New Goblin looked cool when we saw him at SDCC2011 but we did not opt to pick him up. We have had to seriously prioritize with Hot Toys pricing these days and he didn't make the cut for us. If you are a fan of the movie and the character he did seem like a nice piece. Thanks for the great review, it was nice touch showing what the truetype body looks like without the suit on. Yes would have been great to have had a Clarke Kent sculpt and suit, after all HT did it with the previous Supes. THanks for sharing.

Nice tight review. The figure came out perfect. Mines coming by ups today. I have half a mind to call out of work to wait for him lol. I am also surprised he didn't get the dx treatment but oh well the headsculpt more than makes up for it. They nailed CR dead on. I have some plans for my figure but it's gonna take some time. Trust it will blow you away like Supes ice breath! Oh and Wendy your zippers open! Lmao! One love guys!

@TheSentinel3000 Thanx, that means everything to us. Yeah, the QC issues are becoming less far and few between with each release. He really is an awesome figure though. It's amazing how he jumps out at you in a cabinat of hundreds of figures. Maybe it's the bright suit, maybe it Reeves or maybe it's just me, since I grew up in the 70's and not much of a fan of modern Superheroe films. I felt a little shortchanged with the packaging and accessories but, hes' already one of our favs. Peace, J&W :)

Man , there's so many people getting into collecting these Hottoys. I had no idea. I'm waiting for the outfit to come in the mail that I ordered separately as every other part of this figure. The headsculpt , body , even the hand pegs. Now I don't have the fortress of solitude but I did get the stand that also comes included. Its the only way I could afford to get this. It's also the only figure I've got. I saw where someone on ebay is asking over $1100.00 for this now. The others are usually something you've got to bid on and my phone can't compete with the computers out there plus I'm not very computer literate anyway. Nothing like thinking you're about to win an auction to see someone outbid you with 2 seconds left on the count down. I had to laugh honestly. That was cheesy. Thanks for the review. Another great review from you as usual. This is a great figure with a super(no pun intended) headsculpt, this was long overdue. I should have mine next week. Hot Toys dropped the ball a little on this however, they should added an alternate head at least. You're right about this being the definitive superhero, Spidey, Bats & Iron Man are now more popular and profitable film wise, but this is the granddaddy of them all. The headsculpt is dead on Reeve and picture perfect.

best thing about characters that were spandex outfits is there easy to pose cause there clothes give, the spider man 3 hot toy is easy to pose because of his rubbery outfit

Ohh and Batman is my favorite hero, I'm not just some stuck up superman fan, I like all of the DC Characters because of the psychology behind them, i'm not just some person who likes something because it's "cool" or has lots of explosions, Superman fans usually like superman simply because they understand the character, It's okay if you don't like superman, I'm just explaining why he's been such a popular character.

Your friends are right. I also Personally think the Fortress of solitude environment was completely unnecessary. I would much rather have had alternate accessories. Everyone wanted a Clark kent outfit/headsculpt, which would have been logical. I'll never display him with the FOS and it is unfortunate that we'll all probably have to buy another re-release Superman figure to get a Clark Kent. It is what it is, I guess. theres nothing boring about superman at all, many people argue that he's boring because he's so powerful, but then how is chuck norris so popular? Chuck Norris and Superman are practically the same person. He's interesting because it's interesting to see a near god like individual devote his life to protecting the earth simply because it adopted him when his planet was destroyed, along with the psychology behind the character. Like how he's afraid of hurting the people he cares about, etc.

Listen here guys, don't you ever apologize for posting a late review, yeah I've seen some of the other un-boxings and reviews but I always measured them against yours and in my very humble opinion they all come up short on the small details which is what yours are all about, the figure looks simply amazing and I agree about the lack of Clark Kent accessories, that would of put this incredible collectible at the same level of the Indiana Jones.

Many friends of mine that have bought this figure, say that they found problems to set the "fortress of solitude" cuz a crystal doesn't match at all with his hole. Did you find the same problem? Thank you guys!

@samarchermedia No to worry, we really don't even notice the shiny suit anymore. The biggest issues with Sup is the lack of accessories and pretty limited articulation. I just wish they beefed up a regular true-type, instead of using the limited T-800 style muscle type. But he still looks incredible. I'm just an articulation fanatic so you might think it's fine. Nolan looks OK I guess, modern superhero stuff is secondary to horror/sci-fi for us, so we're not to picky with em. Peace Jay & Wendy

Great review... you guys put so much extra into your videos that they are always worth watching even if other reviews show up on KZfaq sooner. More and better content takes time. It's such a shame that the suit is bleeding onto the body. Issues like this are really becoming a problem with HT products. For the high price, customers should have NO worries about things like this. After all, many companies produce MUCH cheaper figures, frequently, without a hint of these types of issues.

@ChynaBoi888 Yeah, your right about the second suit, but we all know Hot Toys will wind up making a Hoth, Tatooine, X-Wing, Stormtrooper, Jedi and Dagobah incarnations all seperate, before throwing two in one package. Though i do have Superman and i think it's a great figure and one of 2011's highlights, like you i can't help but to think Hot Toys could have done a little more. They should have made this a DX like you said. If not a Clark Kent suit and extra head to go along with this figure, i think Hot Toys should have at least done Superman like Albert Wesker and gave him red LED eyes that light up, now that would have been super sick, don't you think.
