Not too bad. Weird to use the single jointed elbows for a character like Maul. He's very acrobatic and it's great to put him in crazy positions. Headsculpt is fine, but looks basically like the Solo Maul so I'll probably store the headsculpt in the vault and display that and use the DX17 extra head on this Maul. Overall, I'm pleased. Loved the way they did the hood. Always nice to get another Darth Maul 1/6 😂 but I think I'm good with four now.

Yah unfortunately even sh figure arts Darth maul is very limited in movement. So sad that we can't get good articulation from any line of toys but least they do there best to make them look good.

The head sculpt looks IDENTICAL to DX18. I’m honestly considering cancelling my PO because of what looks to be blatant, lazy reuse. From initial promo to release, they reworked Ashoka’s sculpt more than Maul’s. Totally disappointed.

dx18 is far superior this is a copy of solo and its awful with even less detail

@@jeffownsyoursoul I can't, I already payed downpayment... It certainly sucks about headsculpt, but I still want CW Maul, as I preordered Ahsoka and he will look great with her.

I really like this figure, I have mine almost paid off but the only thing that kind of bothers me is they kept the stock hot toys upper torso, and you can see the sculpted chest hair lol. I guess instead of Darth Maul from Clone Wars, we now have Ray Park as Darth Maul from Clone Wars. Hot Toys also needs to use white Leds instead of trying to match the blade colors. Red light will always look dim compared to other colors such as blue.

I find it funny that they painted his nails even tho you never see him with ungloved hands, while ignoring Ahsoka's, even tho they should have been painted.

Lol it's hot toys so yes. I have there snake eyes figure and it has great posing ability but limited especially without a toe hinge.

Yeah, I wish Hot Toys would stop matching the light colors to the blades and use white Leds. Red light is always going to look faded, and dim compared to other colors like blue.

This figure looks goofy to me. I think it’s the outfit, it doesn’t look cool at all. It comes with a hood but not the cloak. Pass… I’m mad I missed the Solo Maul. much better figure compared to this. And what was the decision to give him a single bend elbow? Really?

@@bloodandguts88 I have seen Clone Wars, and what does that have to do with anything? This Maul figure is horrendous. The legs he should have are the same robotic legs he has in Solo. Not only that, but the tailoring and outfit looks animated of course and it does not look good at all in this "realistic live action" take. Because again, we have not seen a live action Maul during Siege of Mandalore era or Clone Wars and Rebels for that matter. There are two great live action Maul figures that area accurate (TPM and Solo Maul).

I usually keep my mouth shut when I don't have anything nice to say but this is just terrible. I don't even know where to begin. "Goofy" would be a start I guess. One of HT's worst in my opinion.
