Is it just me or is the whole attitude they're giving this guy a double standard when they interview artists all the time that talk about all their criminal activity in they're music and they give them praise? What's the difference when he's writing a book about it and lots of rappers claim to still be doing their dirt
@darnarxz9 жыл бұрын
It's you. Most of the time , especially if they are new artists, ask why they make that kind of music and if that's what we are going to expect from them in the future. I don't remember any praise.
@jg83879 жыл бұрын
you're right. they bring artists in to interview and act all buddy buddy and hug their nuts when these artists are rapping about some bullshit and criminal activity. This dude is a real dude that actually did the shit he talks about and paid the price for it and they're giving him a hard ass time like he's the only one that ever did it. This shit has been going forever and it goes on all around the world. Yet these rappers snitch themselves out on a record and nothing happens to them. You think they really did that shit they rappin about? Fuck no.

+AnonBelieverOfGovLiez yeah i think a lot of people see the major hypocrisy in this interview (based on the comments). HOT 97 takes a big time L for this, and could have used this for something meaningful rather than a moment to express personal distaste. if i wanted to read an editorial on the subject i would not click on the link to an interview...and this was not a good interview, it was a disgusting cross examination

The cohosts need to learn how to interview guest. There is too much laughing and joking. There is nothing comical about this subject or this guest. Embro and the other male host are acting silly and ignorant at times in this interview. This guest has a great story to tell and they are missing out on a great opportunity to educate the listeners. I understand this is a hip hop station but..there is time for music and a time for educating. Use the airwaves more effectively and wisely. Stop the dumbing down of the hip hop generation.

Good for him to write a book and tell the truth.....Its easy to get caught up Trust his supervisors were no better
@lovelyt.33925 жыл бұрын
It is only easy to get caught up if the employee is weak-willed because not everyone can handle that environment. I worked in a maximum security state prison on the nursing staff and I NEVER trusted nor fraternized with inmates. I set a boundary, a level of respect from day one and maintained it. I treated each inmate with dignity and respect and rarely had any problems. You have to be focused and just go to work to do your work and not trust or fraternize with anyone, especially not inmates. I have seen numerous employees lonely and desperate be escorted out due to stupidity and falling for bullshit from inmates who saw right threw them and targeted them. I was heavily persecuted for right-standing by fellow nurses and some custody staff members; yet, respected by inmates because they KNEW that they could NOT get up in my head and/or heart and I was NEVER caught off guard because I am always thinking and I had an answer for EVERYTHING and sometimes I intentionally did not respond. You have to develop the mindset of an inmate at work as a mode of survival. I thank God for protecting me and keeping me focused. I got tired of working in that environment and resigned and would NEVER consider returning to it. "NO MORE TALK"...

No one is immune to the system already in place in America. Congress can pass a law today right under your nose & by tomorrow you would become a criminal. T.A.P.S. act for one. It's a shame to think that you think it cant happen to you. You can be in an accident & kill somebody & just because you where distracted, or on the phone while driving & made a mistake, all of a sudden be facing a prison sentence. We break laws everyday & go about our lives & never know majority of the laws being passed. You can become a killer in a matter of seconds if somebody threatened your life or family & in that split second a decision that you make could cost you dearly.

The people who are interviewing him are so negative (non-verbal). This is definitely not hip-hop radio. Real Hip-hop radio would give him a chance and listen and not sound and look condescending towards him. Don't recommend this station.

You are right the real hip hop has been hijacked this show is bought and paid for by the opposition that's why they fucked up the interview this is why I decided not to be a journalist even though it was my passion I could see the corruption at a very young age!

@VinDieselXXX9 жыл бұрын
80 racks ain't shit in new york. bus drivers get that. you need at least 150k to live comfortably
@KeV420239 жыл бұрын
OK 150 with a beautiful house and a Benz.... But 80 easily will get you a mortgage and a nice car! Most niqqaz in NY Don't make close to that....
@DarkReapersGrim19 жыл бұрын
I agree with Keenan. San Francisco is worse than New York in terms of the high standards of living. So whatever you guys have out there in NY, SF has it worse. Gentrification's been happening for many years in the city. 80k for one person is lower-middle class, it's a good start on a living for one person. Places to rent near the projects start out at around $3,500-$4,000. Even neighboring Oakland has risen in land prices and everything else.
@KeV420239 жыл бұрын
NoLimit2MyCashMoney That would only be like $650.00 a week to come home with..
@DarkReapersGrim19 жыл бұрын
NoLimit2MyCashMoney Minimum wage is less than half of that at $11.05. It's that scary. The only people who can afford to live in the city are lawyers who get work, doctors, people in finance, people with computer degrees and people working in Silicon Valley for Microsoft, Google, etc. The Silicon Valley is the reason why San Francisco and neighboring areas in the Bay Area have gotten so expensive and people of color being pushed out.
