I am a finger style solo instrumental, guitarist. I have been playing guitars since 1974. I am 70 years old. Vocal wise music wise. I think you done a beautiful job. This is the best version of hotel. California I have ever heard yet on KZfaq. Although mine is not sung my version that is but is instrumental all the way Hotel California is not a simple song to play either finger style or otherwise. Some guitar players make it simple but it doesn’t sound right played simple but I just want you to know I give you total thumbs up you did a beautiful job. There are many videos with tabs to this song including several guitarist who include multiple guitar parts. There are videos that cover the live version and the studio recording. There are videos of backing tracks for the solos at the end of the song as well. There are parts of this video that I will incorporate into my playing. I’m not crazy about his vocals but he sings much better than I do so I shouldn’t criticize him.

How did you play the rhythm part?

It has several rhythmic guitars, there is one that makes dry and muted hits (quarter note silence, two eighth notes, quarter note silence, quarter note) and there is also the twelve-string acoustic doing arpeggios.

I don't know who Band Eagle are 🤔😊 I do the tabs on the originals and I can assure you that The Eagles played it with capo on fret 7, you can even watch live videos of the time when Don Felder played with a Gibson of double neck to make the beginning with capo and the rest of the song without it.

@@xenonstudios888 Many times it is very difficult to know exactly how something was played, not even the same guitarist who played it originally would know and I tell you from experience. It may be that there is some part that is not transcribed exactly as it was played, I can only tell you that the margin of error is very small. All the best :-)

Doing the tablature is the heaviest and hardest part but if you already have them there is not so much problem. What I do is write the tab in Guitar Pro and then put it to play and take a screenshot in the meantime. Then I insert the screenshot in the program with which I edit the video (I use Final Cut). I hope I have been able to help you.
