Westin Hotel has a 4-star rating. Hotel Playa Azul has a 3-star rating. Both hotels are located within a 2-minute walk from each other and both have wonderful reviews. Which one will be the best choice for you? The fancy new hotel or the cozy Spanish-looking hacienda?

Playa Azul is a hidden gem. We have been a few times and hosted our wedding there. The staff there is like extended family. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

you officially have a stalker (me). I just watched your video on Alaska and now this one. I am a 58 year old female solo traveler. I am going to travel to the places for which you have videos. I feel much more comfortable going by myself and starting with your itinerary.

I missed the breakfast buffet at Westin. We stayed at Westin after our trip around the Yucatan, and I was so tired that I preferred to start my day with the lunch. We ate at the both restaurants at Westin (lunch and dinner) and both of them were great. We stayed at Westin only once because I wanted to compare the hotels. Westin is fine, beautiful hotel but my heart belongs to Playa Azul. The very first time we stayed at Playa Azul was 25 years ago. After that we have stayed there numerous times and we loved it every time. We loved the breakfast buffet at Playa Azul a lot. It's casual and the staff remembered our preferences and our names.
