The first option is for Rinse stop (so that the laundry remains in the water from the last rinse) The second option is for Wash gently ( it washes and rinses at a lower speed and higher water level) The third option is for higher water level in mainwash and rinses The fourth option is for heavily soiled laundry with a bit longer wash time
