Tumble dryer pump was making a horrible noise now after your video solved and the Mrs is happy as Larry so mate does it save me a fortune👍

Thank you for sharing this video!! Ours wasn’t collecting water in the container and was leaking on the floor and that little slot was blocked with lint. I cleaned it out and water came flooding into the tray. I also need a new float which we’d noticed it wasn’t shutting off when full too. Awesome 😍😎👍🏻

Scrap that, may have just been the pump running without any water in the tray. Seems ok now.

Hi, watched a few of your videos and they have been very helpful, Thank You! I have a Hotpoint FTCF 87 condenser dryer. No water was going up into the tray / draw so i ordered a pump, but when i removed the old one the plastic blade that spins in pump was actually ok. i fitted the new one anyway, cleaned out the tray at bottom, the slot you mention with a cable tie etc. When i run the machine you can hear the pump suck all the water up, but then just after you stop it, it sounds like all the water comes straight back down into tray under the pump again and its not staying / collecting in the draw. Any ideas how to fix ? Thanks

Cancel that, think original reason for tray not filling was clogged pump. Then when i relocated tumble dryer after i connected clear and black hoses at top the wrong way round 😞, water is now filling tray and staying there after swapping the hoses at top 🙂

@richardhill9473 ah that’s great… I was going to suggest checking the hoses and blowing through them also in case something was stuck preventing the water from going up. Really glad you got sorted man 👍👌

Hi there, my condenser pump is marking a horrible noise. I have checked the float and that pops up and down fine. The noise seems to be the little propeller? Any clues how to solve the issue? Do I need to replace the pump? Thank you

Hey Andy, I am sorry for the delay on replying. Yea replacing the pump is really the only way I find of solving this issue. You can buy the pump separate from the rest of the unit. Hope this helps

Hi is it normal to get a small leak at the bottom of the black tube and the water to seep back into the tray thanks

Hi There. When you say seep back into the tray do you mean the pump housing? It is normal for some water to be in the pump housing all the time. If it is leaking out of the housing where the black hose goes into you will have an issue

@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 thanks it’s a brand new machine pump sounded noisy when 1st used was nocking but it’s stopped now and that’s how I noticed the tiny leak where the black hose connects to it when the tiny puddle around the black was is big enough it goes back into the container can’t see any on the floor

@@blackhurst98 That sounds ok to me. ☺️ They are a very Good dryer. The most important thing is to keep the fluff filter clean (after every cycle of possible) And most Important of all is keep the Condenser box clean ( bottom left )as you look at the Machine behind the white cover. Be sure to clean this at least once a month. I can’t stress this enough to people. When these get blocked up they cause all sorts of problems. 👍

The impeller was broken, got a new part but when reassembled there’s no power to dryer. Can you post a picture of the wiring in the pump unit? School boy error, forgot to take a photo before disconnecting!

Going to the the float switch, The double wire goes on top, The black wire next, and the remaining wire at the bottom. The two wires going to the pump it does not matter what way they go on. To be honest there should still be power going to the dryer though
