They let the air out of the airbags in the rear so the ass went down. I tried the rear axle but there was too much going on there and no room for chains anywhere without damaging other components. That’s why the frame was my best solution.

Thank you for being a subscriber. I don’t know what else I can say about load prices. I break them down in my videos. I try to be no less than $2 per mile. As for dispatch, mine is 7%. I’m mot sure what others charge but I heard it’s higher. I think up to 8% is good.

@@christopherarrington7277 I’m not a fan of looping around the spool and hooking back to chain. I like to go under the spool with my chain and bring the hook and hook not on the stake pocket. That has never been a problem. The only thing you don’t wanna do is put your ratchets next to stake pockets because they will bend them.

It actually does crush the stake pockets. When you start tightening, the binder starts crushing the stake pocket. If you look at my video where ai talk about my trailer, I show the bent stake pockets. It’s unfortunate.

@@I.B1 I’m mot sure if there’s a good suggestion that I can give you in terms of picking a dispatcher as I never had to choose. I stuck with the same dispatch company as I was with when I was working for someone. You should check how much they charge. Mine charges 7% which is good. Make sure you can get along with you dispatcher relationship wise and understand what they are saying as a lot of dispatchers speak with a heavy accent. Then just try them out and see if you are happy with who you chose.

I use a dispatcher to book my loads but I did sign up for a load board to try it out. Truckstop is the one that I’m trying. Yes it does cost. They have different plans. They gave me a 3 month promotion for their plan that normally costs $150 per month. I’m trying it at $99 per month. I think any load board that would be free, wouldn’t be a good one.

How much do dispatchers normally take % wise?

Had things to take care of this time so didn’t get a chance to include that but will include it for sure next video 😁👍🏻 When you say operating cost, what exactly do you mean. Please break it down so I understand the question correctly. As for minimum rate per mile, I like to be no less than $2 per mile. Otherwise you aren’t making money. Especially now that the diesel went up in price again.

@@Mr.AlexKogan so, I take my Total Expenses (Living+Trucking) / Miles per Month (Avg) = $ per mile. Then I figure my cost per mile in fuel (cost per gal / mi per gal). I add the $ per mile + cost per mile (fuel) = Cost per mile (break even cost). The number fluctuates based on your miles and fuel cost, but it helps me see what's my base minimum. At the moment and today's fuel costs, I'm at a break even of $2.38 mi. Anything below that and I'm losing money to operate. Therefore, I try to stay above that number to create cash flow. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you for subscribing. I appreciate your support! I go to the gym on my 34 hour reset. Sometimes I’m able to get 2 days of workouts during the reset and sometimes 1. Depends what time I stop driving. Also if I have no load for the day, I try to go to the gym at that time as well. It will be hard to do it everyday even if you have a gym you can pull into. I usually stop driving around 10-11 pm and I definitely have no energy for the gym after that. I also used to go 5 days a week before I got into trucking but unfortunately that’s hard to do now.

When there’s an option to do a couple of partials, I do it. You can’t always get multiple loads going same way.

Well I technically didn’t loose 3 days because I did my reset over the weekend. My work week has shifted and it’s not Monday through Friday. It just happened that I had a load that had to be dropped off Saturday and you rarely can get another load Saturday. From my experience, anytime there’s a holiday, that week is usually slower.
