I think the most important thing in low power mode is that it turns off cellular and WiFi, making the watch completely dependent on your phone. It does really extend battery though

It also makes the reliability of the info from workouts/sleep tracking essentially crap. What’s the point of owning an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and not using it for working out, tracking health, tracking sleep and utilizing all its features?

@@egauci1 never seen any reason to use low power mode. I leave for work at 5am which is when I put my watch on. By the time I go through work, the gym, get home to shower, cook dinner etc I still have 50-60% battery by the time I put it on the charger to sleep. Battery def lasts plenty long. I did makimize my battery life a little more with a video by turning some things off I don’t really need it to do. Like Siri listening on raise and a few other things. So low power mode isn’t really necessary unless you in a circumstance where you can’t charge it within the constraints of your usual daily routine.

You need iPhone 15 or later for the direction feature. Just letting people know. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it doesn't work for me. Wasted few hours until I found that out. So if this post helps someone else.

I think the UW is for anyone tbh. I use for workouts, sleep tracking, but also use for walks, hikes, runs etc., you can also change the watch look with different straps I.e., titanium/leather bands and use it for dressier occasions or everyday use and really changes the look.

How come I don’t get that option for the direction of where my phone is when I ping it, it just rings, and then the wrist temp doesn’t show up on my health at all, I have the ultra 2, is there a new update since this video that removed those things ?

you should specify which ones can be found at ultra 1 and 2. Most ot the things you mention are found at ultra 2

I switched from Samsung watch 4 to Ultra 2 in December. My frustrations with the Apple watch 2 which costs almost twice, if not triple, as much as a Samsung watch: can't change the volume in Airpods on the watch, can't hear workout feedback while listening to music on Airpods, can't have the sleep function turned on without Sleep focus, no blood pressure option, oxygen sensor is in dispute, in the Health app where the watch sends data you have tons of useful information only on first read, but can't hide once you've read it, two Health and Fitness apps where Samsung only has one. What does it help to know my body temperature increased or decreased with 0.3 C if I can't have my real body temperature? On my old 2021 Samsung 4 watch, I had more useful functions than Apple Ultra 2, well... thanks Apple, hope you use my money wisely 😂

When I go into setting on my Ultra watch (Gen 1) I only have "cover to mute as an option, no way to enable the double tap feature. Am I missing something

how come it can't stream any of my live security cameras using siri? it does show up if u use the home app but i'd rather use siri! also u cannot use google voice on this apple watch ultra which sux as well! also when it takes a screenshot it doesn't save it to the watch? it saves to phone only? im not even a hiker or power user so i basically paid 1k for a watch that i don't wear much lol...i don't sleep or shower with it on either.. im still figuring out if i can put a custom TAG heuer facewatch on it with complications shortcuts like a stock apple face..prolly not possible huh

You going to have to reset the watch totally if you already have set it up! So when you go back to set the watch up again when you get to the part when it ask you to set password choose set later.. so once you fully have set the watch up.. go into settings and password and create you a password, once you set the password that way then it will be activated whenever you take your watch off! Setting the password when you activating the watch it want work!! Hope that helps you

Ya you need the 2nd gen ultra wide band chip which is currently only in iPhone 15’s, and Apple Watch 9/Ultra 2 for now.

Apple told me that even with the Ultra 2, you’ll still need internet connection or your phone for Siri to work.
