Without Weakness having the reminder text for indestructible (specifically the part about a creature still dying if its toughness is 0 or less) is likely heavily influenced by the presence of -1/-1 counters in the block. Which i think is neat.

This block feels older than 3 years. I adored the story for this block, and I heard on a D&D group how someone used the setting and story for a campaign with friends who have don't play Magic and how, after 3 long years, they finally learned the truth of the world and it was amazing. Anyway, more D&D books for MtG planes please, WotC. There's a lot of very cool lore and work that doesn't get seen in the finished set that deserves at least a manual for how to run a D&D campaign there

Saving Grace is one of my favourite white cards from the set. I was miffed when they didn't put it in remastered on Arena.

Beneath the Sands is my spicy tech in my Nikya of the Old Ways commander deck. It ramps you into your commander if you're not there yet, but if you are, you can just cycle it away by tapping a single land.

Grace was a royal being with a deep Soul and a big Voice. She Radiated so much that she got many Adepts following her footsteps, but jealousy emerged from her people as she constantly got into troubles and needed to be Healed and Saved. As a Masked monarch ruling from her Court with her husband Law and her daughter Oona, sending her Knights and Angels throughout the plane, history teaches us that her best friends were actually Cats and Antilopes. Very capricious indeed, like an Absolute monarch.

If I recall right... two drops were super chocked outside of some very bad ones. The Jackal Wizard was a premium card. Especially if you can snag the green monument. That card was a HOUSE.

I don't know why some Magic players look back on this set as being weak. It was full of bangers that broke Standard for quite a while. Getting to resolve The Scarab God usually translated to winning the game on the spot.

First
