As a social worker who has worked with people experiencing homelessness for 25 years, it's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't judge struggling people and just wants to help. There are programs across the country that do what you want to do - research and find a successful model of funding and service that might work for you, don't reinvent the wheel. I wish we had someone like him in Arizona. My mom had two abandoned houses in her neighborhood, with one next door! Lots of homeless and drug addicts would hang out there amongst the tall weeds. When she passed, we had a heck of a hard time trying to sell her house. The owner of the abandoned house had no money to clean it up, so a couple of neighbors and I took it upon ourselves to clean the entire yard, and paint over graffiti. Sold my mom’s house quickly after that, plus the abandoned house got a buyer as well! A win win for the entire neighborhood!

For raking up the grass, and for hauling away the sod he digs off the sidewalks and curbs. Other guys I've seen on KZfaq who do this work don't go that extra mile.

@@ldcraig2006 well, for abandoned houses they usually don't haul off grass clippings. Mostly because it protects the other grass from the heat, and it provides extra moisture after it rains. It also can help fertilize the grass when it starts to decompose

This is a perfect example of how one person can change the world. You and Sonia have planted a seed that I hope will grow into a fruit bearing tree. How epic would it be to not only save all of these abandoned properties but to house people who truly need the help? That’s a win-win situation for everyone. Out of all the YT’ers doing similar videos, I find myself watching yours the most. I don’t know you personally, but you come across as the most authentic. When it comes to the work, you’re by far the most detailed. Love the drone shots and different angles too, adds to the videos.

I have looked at a lot of other KZfaqrs that do free Lawn Service and you are by far the best of the bunch. Your attention to detail is unequal. I am really glad that you mow before you trim. I do not understand how these Lawn Care guys will try to trim grass that is almost 3 ft High. I like the fact that you mow first and then you come and trim the sidewalks and outline the curb you don't leave all that dead grass and you don't make excuses as to why you don't do the complete job whether that means going on the roof, cleaning out the gutters or anything else that makes the job complete. You are a phenomenal Lawn Care You Tuber. Keep your work ethics. You will reach your goals. Bless you Sean!!!

You are apologizing for being unable to do a "perfect" job on this yard. Other you-tube restoration channels leave a mess every time. They treat it like that is normal. Think how blessed they feel that you just did so much to improve property across from them. Sidewalks useable again. Of all the lawn makeovers on U Tube, I love watching you. This yard needs children, play structure of some kind, maybe a tree house, raised garden beds, flower bed in front, a fire pit….and a nice cool rest area in the far back, under the canopy of those trees. Thanks for sharing what you want to do, your dreams for this channel. 👍🏾

I smiled so big around 35:00 when you cut down the overgrowth on the fence, and exposed the neighbor’s lovely flower bed. That person obviously put a lot of work and care into that, and it suddenly looked even better and could be seen!!!! That alone was a kindness. ❤

What a difference pruning trees and bushes back makes. So often, folks do the grass and mostly the edges, but the trees and bushes being unkempt is a sure sign that no one is there to love the place. Thank you Sean for completely transforming this yard and sidewalk. ❤❤

You need to get a grass catch.. one of the best things is when a lawn guy VACUUMS the yard.. but I am already very impressed with your work ethic and pride you put into your videos and work. I like how you remove stuff from the property like old limbs and trash, and how you fix gutters and minor easy repairs... it shows your level of commitment to your community and your caring of these properties. So many of these youtubers that do this stick the dirt and limbs in a back corner of the lot and do a haphazard attempt at clean up, you dont seem to be one of those and that is why I watch you. GOOD JOB as always, I hope you and that lady can find a way to work with the city and put people in these empty homes. GOOD LUCK!

There are quite a few people who do this throughout the world. Some do it better than others. There are some very good channels in Australia who do gardening and cleanups for those in need. I admire what Sean does but would much rather it was for a home someone actually lived in.

This is the way of mowing that I was hoping to eventually see you do ---keeping the clippings in the center of the yard, away from the side you just cleared . No repeating of blowing. A lot of time and energy were saved from all those repeats! Nice. I hope it lasts, because you can teach this to others .Love It! Thanks.

Now that the property is neat and cleaned up, the driveway is actually my favorite feature! I think it has a cobblestone look that softens the surroundings. And you NEVER need to apologize for anything that you think is less than perfect. You’re amazing.

I like it that you are not lazy you don't toss the grass and dirt back onto the lawn, you clean up the property, fix things that are loose or broken and you trim the trees cutting them away from the fence and house and you make the hedges are clean and straight, you even pressure wash the house, perfection. and you also try to help others in need you have a good heart, may GOD bless you in all you do

I watching from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦 It’s hard to imagine all the abandoned homes there are in your area. What a blessing you are! It makes me look at peoples yards here differently. They could be struggling with health issues or money issues and instead of criticizing, maybe we could give them a hand instead. You are a breath of fresh air!

We have a few here in Australia that do great jobs too. Blademate, Tim the lawnmower man, Lush cut lawns , mowing for mental health, Nathan’s lawn mowing, Quick cuts and others. ❤😊

I expected you to knock on a neighbor's door and get the story on the house before starting. It gives some great insight about the property. I think a dedicated edger gives a much nicer result than just using a weed whacker - although if your weed whacker is powerful and you're really careful, you can achieve a pretty good looking edge. Most vacant and abandoned homes are either boarded up or in terrible shape. That one looks really nice. It's a shame that the owner or the city can't get it occupied.

I love the way you bring us with you as you do the clean up. We are not just watching, we are participating in the clean up. I pray for your dream to come true. It feels impossible that here at this location is a beautiful home and yet families are homeless or living in motels and or worse. God bless.

I am a senior citizen with a yard and can’t afford lawn service and watching your videos helps me learn how to do lawn work. Thank you midlife stockman you have helped me gain confidence and knowledge to do it myself. Can’t complete it all in one day but I am working on it. Slowly!😊

I watch a few different guys that do this work, but after watching you, they don’t compare. Now, when I watch them, I catch myself saying, “Oh, Midlife Stockman 01 would have cut that down, or raked that up, or never would have left with it looking like that way!!” 💚. Love watching you help others. I REALLY wish you would count your steps on a job!! No doubt you would soar on that score!!!

Corner lots usually are a lot higher in value! I don't understand why people abandon such huge properties, and on this one the house is HUGE, it all has so much potential 😁. Thanks for your hard 3 days work here. I pray God blesses you and your family as you are blessing your community 😊❤

This has been one of the most heartbreaking videos you have done. This property looked like it took up almost a half a block of prime property...and the house looked really good too. How can someone just up and leave it? There are so many folks in need of homes these days....and yet there are so many abandoned homes that no one lives in or takes care of. I just don't understand. Have you ever heard of any owners of any of the properties you have cleaned up coming and taking control of them again? Do they all just fall back to into rack and ruin? Someone, somewhere, ought to be able to do something about making use of these homes again. You did an absolutely fabulous job....again....and you have a wonderful family! Thank you so much for your time, energy and caring that you share with all those around you.....and those of us that take the time to follow the great example you show!
