Just a tip for the marriage issue... 1. Go into debug 2. Revoke all their titles. 3. Re-grant them their titles. This should effectively remove all "privileges" associated with the title once you revoke it and it becomes yours and when you grant it back to them it will go back to the default being "normal-normal w/ no promises". You could betroth the illegitimate children to those lords that have the marriage contract that you can't get rid of so you don't have to use your trueborn children.

I know you've turned them off to avoid pop-ups, but you can turn back on Vassal Homage for Prestige and sometimes gold, especially if there's this major bug that steals all your Prestige and since you need a lot of gold for everything. I also think your viewers would be fine if you just gave yourself Prestige every time you needed to marry someone. As long as you don't go overboard and use your natural Prestige gain for everything else, it'd make sense. There's no reason to let a bug ruin your ability to do anything with regards to marriage.
