I hadn’t noticed that about Daemon not uttering a single word (probably because I was too enamored with the whole sequence), but that is so incredible! Matt Smith truly is such a force, I feel like there are not many actors who can do this and do it well. Honestly, this whole cast is impeccable so far, can’t wait to see the magic with their older counterparts!

I like the idea that Viserys prophetic dream of "my son ascending the Iron Throne wearing the Conqueror's crown" is a true vision of the future. It is not a triumphant affirmation of the continuation of his royal bloodline; *it's a warning* . The other 2 "dragon dreams" mentioned were both of impending disaster, Viserys' dream is not different, but his own preconceived notions of inheritance influenced him to see this dream as a positive moment, not the beginning of the downfall of his family.

The first time I saw Daemon beat up his brothers messenger, it reminded me of when Damon (coincidence?) from The Vampire Diaries said something along the lines of “I believe in killing the messenger, because it sends a message.” I know it’s probably not intentionally related, but I’d like to think it is. People with that namesake are all about the drama, and I’m here for it!

Erik- I’ve been watching this channel and GOT breakdowns back when Phillip Mo. was the front man and remember the first time you took over as host. I’ve have enjoyed all of them, but for whatever reason your passion and love for the topic really came through this breakdown. I watch a couple other breakdowns as well, but your enthusiasm and time you spend in doing the research is what has always makes yours my favorite. Some of the other channels seem to just be doing it to turn out more content, but with you it’s different. That love and passion really came through this breakdown and wanted to take time and to say simply, thank you! And in the words of the wise Joe Dirte, “keep on keepin’ on”!
