her whole character is being abnormal and when something happens people just expect her to act reasonable which would kill her whole character in 1 scene

She's great. And it's insane that most reactors don't realize Helaena isn't really "off her rocker", but autistic. + probably dragon dreaming.

@@airconditionedrelco7099 I remember thinking it was weird how quickly she pointed towards jaehaerys but from the camera shot you notice it's clearly intentional from the directors. I've a few qualms about how they went about that scene in the show but it's clear that it's not the actress's fault

I don't even mind the actors, but that was just weird fan service. Is it cool that he said the dragons wouldn't cross the wall? Sure, that doesn't make it good dialogue. The wall keeping out death is just dumb. He is saying something he knows nothing about to the audience instead of to Jace. If Rhaenyra had told Jace about Aegon's dream and Jace told Cregan, that would have made that scene 1000x better and actually added some meaning to it.

@@SpitFir3Tornado In defense of the writers, it could be that Cregan just deduced that whatever the wall was built to keep out, brings death in some way, so the sentence "death" wouldn't be too out of place. If he said "the dead" or something along that line, it would be a lot worse IMO.

Well there was the coronation scene with Rhaenys where they got humiliated at what was supposed to be a moment of great triumph.

I feel the fandom being so caught up in Black vs Green is taking away from how well-written some of these characters. Like I see so many reactions where people just don't appreciate how interesting the Greens are as characters because they've trained themselves to just hate them.

I felt the dialogue was fine but they might have overdid the jargon. It felt too bookish and I don't think the actors were good enough to make it sound natural.

@@unc54 Ah interesting, I've talked to a few people I know who have the accent that Cregan's actor was trying to replicate and we all agreed it felt like he was putting it on too much, felt like maybe he was too focused on pronunciation. Though yeah, I guess them pulling more lines directly from F&B also led to some confusion from more casual viewers like the "eight and ten" thing.

@@bolxons They did a lot of 'bookish' dialogue in the first season too, as a book reader I much prefer it but I can see it maybe being confusing to those who aren't

No idea why they made Aegon a rapist in the show. He does way more shitty things later on so felt that was unnecessary. Anyway team black has Daemon who killed his wife, worked with Rhanaeyra to kill some innocent guard to fake Laenor's death, and then went on to order the beheading of a child. There's shitty people on both sides. Allicent is just naive, she wants to fulfil what she thinks her husband wanted done, but doesn't want to deal with the repercussions of her actions...Aemond was right about her speaking with two tongues. Both Aemond and Aegon are very set on who they are, a soldier always looking to prove himself in battle and a reluctant heir who now has to live up to the throne he was convinced is his since birth. Then there's Halaena who's cursed with the power of foresight but everyone in her family believes her to be loopy. Otto's motivations have been plain from the very beginning, he wants his family to rule and make a mark on the history of Westeros. Everyone in team Green is an interesting character.

@@KeangoDLuke technically his wife went for weapon and he defended himself he hadn’t done anything YET, the guard was an adult guard who wasn’t alert and more importantly it was to set laenor free to live his gay life how he wanted and yes so they could marry (they coulda actually killed him), and daemon only ordered a son for a son IF they couldn’t get aeomond main target AND that was ONLY AFTER Luke was killed who was a prince to boot. Anyway yes good and evil on both sides but it’s not even close who is worse and I don’t see how anyone thinks it is or blacks worse. Alicent is now getting it on with nut job kings guard (murderer of a small council member) and only fans foot stuff with larys to get Otto back as the hand, took down all Targaryen stuff for the seven even though breaking almost any faith rules can think of, list goes on.

All of this is Viserys's fault. As Daemon pointed out in the first episode he was weak and allowed himself to be manipulated.

@@havok6280 Viserys for being manipulated and not seeing this coming and Otto for being the manipulator who put these pieces in place are the two to mostly blame for the set up

Yep all would have worked out if not only Otto and other lords plotting to take her out anyway. Alicent being a hypocrite about religion yet partnering with a man who killed his own father and brother to be a lord and get her father back as hand. And not only protecting her ra pist son but wanting him on throne. And Aemond tried to kill all the kids and then killed one of them (a prince) and his dragon.
