@@unc54 I meant it as (from my reading of the show so far) Rhaenyra has been kinda reticent to really embrace the violence that’s to come because she’s lost so much and wondering if maybe her father doubted her capacity because she is a woman like so many around her seem to. But getting confirmation that her dad always believed in her and Alicent is just a big ol dummy has cast aside any possible lingering doubts about how righteous she is.

Rhaenyra has Rhaenys! Wild how easily people forget about what women contribute to these dynamics. Rhaena also has Rhaenys and Corlys. Her grandparents. Daemon is her father. So Baela isn’t the only family she has left, although I agree that their closeness is unmatched.

Alicent knew she fucked up that's why she's in denial. Like rhaenyra went OUT OF HER WAY to find her and talk it over but she still wants to play the victim. Now rhae can wash her hands of this situation and go ham.

@@veahliaxo Alicent isn’t in denial, she knows the truth now and accepts it. But it doesn’t matter anymore. Too much has happened, too much blood has been spilled, children are dead, babies are beheaded, and war is irreversible at this point. She KNOWS that. Even if she went back to her council and told them (a council that doesn’t listen to her) the truth, they wouldn’t care. And Aegon would NOT give up the throne. Alicent no longer has power. She can’t stop a thing no matter how bad she wants to. Not to mention Aegon being the king was an idea implanted since before he was even conceived. And they were going to install him in episode 9 without her permission. Shes not playing victim, she is one. And it's unfortunate that the showrunners have to spoon feed that to the audience cause they twist every word she says so much, cause they hate her.

And she maybe a victim of her father and sons actions but she isn't helping the situation either. Her kids are out of control, you don't think that's her fault in how she raised them? lol guess she's just a saint in your eyes. That's fine and that's your opinion lol

Lmaoo she's sitting there telling rhaenyra there's "been no mistake" 😂😂😂 and yeah Otto planned to usurp the thrown anyway but it was alicent who made aegon even want the crown in the first place with the blade. He was literally trying to run away. If alicent didn't misinterpret the kings words something else may have happened. Alicent definitely ain't a victim no matter how hard you try to cape for her 💀

Hate to agree with Alicent, but it’s too late. Also, The Council was planning to make Aegon King long before the deathbed mixup. Too much has happened since.

Hand-wringing Green over here - after Aemond killed Luc, Allicent was the only person advocating for peace. If only Rhanerya had read Allicent’s note earlier, together they may have preempted the machinations of war currently at play. Allicent is right: unfortunately, it is too late. But I think we can all agree that the Queen Who Never Was should rule. :P Great reaction boys!
