Rhaenyra saying it has never been done before is referencing someone claiming a dragon that still has a Dragonrider since she knows laenor is still alive. Seasmoke is claimed by Adam of hull. I'm very excited to hopefully see silverwing and vermithor the bronze fury in all his glory.

Can everyone please stop saying that Vermithor will be claimed by Daemon!! The reason why Daemon went to find Vermithor was to gather dragons for the blacks to try to claim, not for himself to claim. Hugh will be the one claiming Vermithor! And why Rhaenyra say that they will do something that have never been tried before is probably that so many people with a small part of them is Valeryian is trying to claim dragons!

My Theory: Aegon hit his head as he fell & won’t remember what Aemond did. Instead he’ll believe Aemond’s Story that Meleys was the one who burned him. Aemond will arrange for Aegon to be assassinated but before it happens Aegon will call Aemond to his Bed Side and tell him he’s sorry, for almost ruining the plan at Rooks Rest & for everything he’s put him through. He will tell him he’s always known he (Aemond) was the more competent brother & that’s always made him spiteful. He then will gift Aemond Blackfyre (the Sword of Aegon the Conqueror) telling him he’s the better Swordsman so it should be his. The Kind Words & the Gift will set off a change of emotions in Aemond. He will become deeply remorseful for what he’s done & have a change of heart. In the Season Finale, when the assassination is supposed to happen Aemond will use Blackfyre & kill both assassins in a 1v2. He will then bring the Heads of the Assassins to Alicent & Aegon saying he heard them planning to Assassinate the King. This will change Aegon & Aemonds relationship to being more like the Books, where Aemond is absolutely loyal to Aegon & Aegon eventually builds a statue of Aemond after his Death.

I think him losing his memory after the crash is so cliché and lame. I'd like it they subverted expectations more. Aemond looks like he's deffo subtly torturing him and blackmailing him while he tends to him in bed which I like more. Like he's telling Aegon that nobody will believe him that his own brother burned him in the fight

Seasmoke is on driftmark, so the dragon is either grey ghost (not likely) or silverwing which it shouldn’t be cause then silverwing and dreamfyre would look too similar

@@Talk3rs not necessarily a spoiler, in the book Laenor was killed and didn't escape like he has in the show. Seasmoke could purely be restless longing for Laenor or maybe he might have died since having left which upset Seasmoke. The next few weeks will tell us.

She brought several dragon eggs with her, so it's far more likely she will claim one of those if/when it hatches. Sheepstealer lives on Dragonstone and never flies as far as the Vale when hunting, so there is no chance of Rhaena claiming that dragon.

@@ghostsdragon9222 It's definitely Seasmoke. He still has Laenor's saddle from season 1. Also considering Ulf isn't at Dragonstone at this time, it's likely not Silverwing. Dont think we've ever seen Silverwing yet in the show

But maim thing the Colour is different and the horns are closer to his head and the horns of seasmoke was wider but this comes from a picture in season 1. By the seading hopefully we will atleast all riderless dragons But ill have a look at the screenshots and the trailer again and see if they look the same. Edit Okay had better and i agree horns are the same. Was just a more frontal few of the dragon

Yes i wish Daemon wouldve at leaast let his scary af dragon eat or burn one of those bracken big mouths . I know every episode cant be fire and blood but they couldve done a bit more with episode 5 for sure. Last weeks episode was great but w😢hy the shortest one when we finally got battle scenes and dragon action . Im excited to see that Drogon looking dragon and bearded Vermithor in next weeks episode finally though.

I find the whole thing to with Rhaenyra picking up a sword and complaining about not being trained how to use it really annoying as it seems so besides the point. Strategy and knowing how to swing a sword are two completely different skill sets and if she ever went to war it'd be on dragonback.

The Targaryens lack strategy all together, meleys should’ve turned around and pushed vhagar to the ground while tearing at her neck or caraxes above the gods eye should’ve slammed into vhagars back and tore at the wings, that would save both caraxes and daemon

Can someone tell me if Reana(?) ever ridden with either her sister or their mother on her dragon? it seems criminal that with the 2 women in her life who are dragon riders she would not have experienced ridding on a dragon even though it is not hers. Also do the Targs ever interact with someone elses dragon, like pet them or something just so the dragon is familiar with them as another Targ and or related to their Targ rider? thanks

Not really, no. Dragons can carry passengers, but that's not the same as actually riding one. Only one person can claim a specific dragon, and they become bonded for life. It's not possible to "borrow" someone else's dragon to train with it. These are intelligent, proud, dangerous creatures, and the fact that they even allow one person to ride on their backs is a miracle in and of itself. Many people who try to claim dragons are killed in the process. That's why they are usually claimed right after the eggs hatch. Adult dragons are much harder to "tame", if such a thing is even possible.

not going to lie episode 5 was a pretty lackluster battle scene 😂. pretty much just “charaaarrrgeeee”also the ending death scene like why isn’t the nimbler dragon flying high?

That was episode 4. I suggest you rewatch that final battle. Aemond took his dragon down towards the shoreline behind the castle (the castle wall is situated right on the edge of the cliff), and then Vaegar flew upwards from behind the castle, snatching Melys in his jaws. That's why Rhaenys couldn't see him until it was too late. The entire castle and cliffside was concealing him. She was flying low to A) avoid arrows from the Green's army, and B) to search for Aemond's dragon, which she assumed must have landed on the ground. If it was above her, she would have seen its shadow.

Not being pessimistic but thankfully those who have read the books or aware of the book Dance of the dragons lore have truly experienced the story. Because the crap bs these writers and HBO are selling only relies on moments with overall lackluster storytelling. Ur gonna enjoy upcoming battles and moments, but you'll never get the essence of the dance.

Except for 1 or 2 instances, the show has only downgraded. If they cannot do betted storytelling atleast adapt what is there already.
