I support Rhaenyra because not only is she the king's first born child and named heir, fate seems to have wanted her to be ruler. I know it's a show only thing, but her seeing the white stag in the forest was the shows way of insinuating that she's the rightful heir. The king wanted it till the day he died(he also only ever told her while coherent about the prophecy) and the biggest sign the king was relying on to tell him Aegon should be king never showed itself. The white stag went to Rhaenyra and to me, that was her being decided on by nature to be queen and change the man only wheel.

Definitely Rhaneyra’s side….Viserys could have at any time after Aegon was born to make him heir but he did not…as Aegon grew up he could have change his mind but he steadfastly upheld Rhaneyra’s claim as heir because he knew that Aegon was not fit to lead the 7 kingdoms and be king. Plus I believe that from the time that he relieved Otto of his duties as hand of the king he knew Otto wanted nothing more than to have Aegon on the throne but the fact that Otto tried to have Viserys remove Rhaneyra from the role as heir hardened Viserys to the idea of Aegon as heir. Even though Viserys was very sick he still had enough of his wits in place to resist them from changing his chose heir to Aegon. Look at how easy it would have been…all they would have to do is draft a letter or some type of writing that said Viserys had chosen Aegon to be his heir and that Rhaenyra was no longer the heir yet they did not do it because Viserys was not gone mentally even though he was under the influence of milk of the poppy.
