Interior Designer Rayman Boozer hails from Alabama and Indiana, but moved to New York City where he began his career in interior design. He was dubbed the “go to designer for color consulting” by Time Out magazine. Rayman welcomes Homeworthy into his very chic downtown New York City loft apartment.
Apartment 48 has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and New York Magazine, and is a member of the AD100 and Elle Décor A-List recognizing the top designers in the world.

I enjoy people who aren't afraid of lots of stuff but know how to control the negative space so it doesn't feel overwhelming or messy. Love all the blues and greens.

Exactly. He does maximalist extremely well. I'm taking notes and inspiration. Especially that front door. I keep all those kinds of things as well, but would like a controlled way to display them like he has.

I’m not surprised he wanted to major into psychology because his passion for interior design can be deeply woven into how our personalities drive the direction of how we live, things we choose to live with and what makes us who we are. Even color can be related to our psyche. I love his loft, his style, his history and his calm demeanor. Thx for sharing!!

I still have that Elle Decor issue with Rayman Boozer's apartment on the cover! May 2006, I'm looking at it right now! No other interior in a magazine has had so much influence on me, even looking at it now. I'm so excited to see him on Homeworthy in a new place, but that old one will always live in my heart.

There's a sense of love & compassion that our Heavenly Father has for this human being. I can't describe it, but it's as if God's loving Heart is reaching out to this creative person to let him know he is loved of the Father God. May peace be your portion as you exist through life. Blessings.

So glad you did not become a psychiatrist-you are design. Your entry/kitchen wall covering is sublime. I paused mid video to purchase arrows online for a vase at my entryway and I will always remember where I discovered the idea! Unique color, pattern, texture, and provenance-it's all there. Your are a sweet soul Rayman, thank you for sharing some of your favorite things.

He had me at the start with his love of colored pencils. *Looks around home office at pots and pots of colored pencils, stacks of coffee table books, and mounds of pretty boxes...* I really need more people like Rayman in my life. His place totally resonated with me, and his vibe was so calming. This was one of my favorite tours - thanks!

This was the (IMO) best Homeworthy ever! I feel like Rayman Boozer and I were separated at birth. I (sadly) did not know of him but I absolutely can relate to everything being his favorite! The "Blue Eyes" paint color I have been looking for all my life, the décor books, etc.. Everything you have should be your favorite or why have it? People are always trying to get me to downsize but I am emotionally attached to my treasures and they rekindle memories and good times. It's interesting that the very people that tell me I have too much are at the same time fascinated while in my apartment just as I was watching this video. I must have stopped it 20 times to look at something closer or to google some artist. I call my look layering which has become a cliché but it's what it is for me. A layering of my lifetime. Thank you Mr Boozer for sharing your "favorite" things with me! ❤❤❤

What a lovely loft and a lovely gentleman too. I really enjoyed his company and his home is beautiful. The drapes in his bedroom are gorgeous. I also appreciate that he has nice things but he also values his money and appreciates a sale. Yes, even after he revealed he owns two Birken bags. I guess you can say they're an investment.

First of all, I love that he's from Indiana and living on the East Coast. It's nice to know another Hoosier made it out. 😉Second, what a great home! Although I'm not a maximalist, I love real bohemian decor and culture. I say "real" because a lot of bohemian spaces are the result of people trying to capture an aesthetic. But with Raymond, his space truly seems to capture his life, what he loves, and who he's met along the way. That to me is what real bohemians do. His rather monotone way of speaking completely betrays how colorful his lifestyle is. And his approach to his home is a breath of fresh air in a time where everyone seems to decorate to largely to impress others, instead of simply expressing themselves. I especially love that blue on the wall unit in the living area. It's beautiful! And of course, I spotted that Kelly bag the minute they walked into the closet. 😍

He seems incredibly intelligent and talented in a calm, chic way. I would love to go see his store one day. @@fishercourt I shopped in his store many times! By no means cheap but there was something for anyone but I scored some things from there. He allowed people to shop and was attentive without being intrusive.

Rayman has a really creative, ecceltic and innovative design style. The purple even creates a really light, airy fresh canvas to the place. Love all the art :) 😍😍😍

Love the office room and how refreshingly unpretentious and un-trendy he is. So often on NYC tours everyone is so chirpy & faux hip; "this is my" blah blah blah... He has a Joy Division poster & I actually believe he listened to them vs most of these annoying people who show their spaces & have what they think makes them cool. So great when he said "okay, now let's go to the living room" and literally turns around 😂 Love his sense of humor. Had so much fun watching this.

Incredibly gorgeous loft. I love the couch in the lounge, it looks so comfy and the little tables. Actually, like Rayman says everything is my favorite. The design and colors and art. The "old blue eyes" paint really pops and that whole piece adds so much character. Every "room" is interesting and flows wonderfully space to space. Totally infatuated with this amazing home and talented host.

Please thank our host for letting us tour his home and workspace. I'm a psychologist who wanted to study design but the sciences seemed more practical. Now that I'm retired, my authentic designer self has re-emerged. Watercolor markers, colored pencils and sketchbooks are out of storage as are my collections. Like him, I never got rid of anything. 😂

I loved shopping and visiting Rayman and his wonderful staff at his Apartment 48 store! He was just as generous with guidance then as he is now. And so glad I bought a Rayman Boozer PAINTING!
