Their song is such a classic happy birdsong. I love it. Makes me think of warm days being in the sunshine and lying in the grass.

The wrens in my back yard go crazy when they hear this. They are always on the lookout and trying to find the source of the call. Pretty fun to watch.

This was lovely. I was able to identify the tiny little birds outside my frf window and she mimmicked the song each and everytime. She does seem a bit confused at times though like trying to figure out who is singing. Its a joy to watch and listen to. Thank You!

Lots of birders frown upon pishing and playing bird calls. But I just looked up how to attract house wrens to your yard. And playing their bird calls was on top of the list. So today I'm purposely trying to get some wrens to come.

My buddy visits my holly tree first thing in the morning, then is back outside my window off and on all day long. He's seen me once or twice on the other side and dropped down to the ground out of sight, but he always comes back. They might be little birds, but they are LOUD.

Thanks so much for posting this video. I was trying to describe him to my friend and the way I did, my friend guessed it was a wren right away. But to be sure, I googled for the sound of a wren and there was your video to help me confirm who he is!! So thanks very much !!!

These and song sparrows seem to sing the most. And them mockingbirds, which got me started on watching
@jessicajaynenc12022 жыл бұрын
Yes ! Then damn mockingbirds 😂. Started disliking them very much after one summer spent getting dive bombed by a couple (or perhaps just one ) who (unfortunately) made a nest near our front porch. It was truly horrific, ended up having to use umbrellas and various protection methods just to be able to come and go . I also witnessed them going after my cats as well . Convinced they were a menace to society Lol . BUT THEN , I started noticing , everywhere I went in the world , no matter how random /arbitrary the time and place (seriously) I’d see & hear mockingbirds . It was spooky . Slowly but surely over this summer , with getting into birding , and doing a lot I’d observation and research, my annoyance with them , developed into a respect . Yes , they’re very very vocal , and somewhat of “bullies “ at the feeders , I’ve witnessed them go against their most dangerous predators and not be scared . They’ are fearless ! And so many times I’ll be outside and think to myself “wonder who that is singing “? As I listen to beautiful bird songs, turn my Merlin app on = it’s a damn mockingbird 🤣. Not to mention their mimicking capabilities . They’re fascinating honestly . But Let me stop rambling on Lol , I just saw you mention my inadvertent “spirit animal “ and it inspired this diatribe. 🤓Birds make me happy 🤓

Trying to ID this bird in my backyard. Success, when I played this it came flying to me & also very confused. Landing on the bird house that house sparrows use & upsetting the nesting pair. LOL
@friendlyviewer71713 жыл бұрын
You'll have to put out a house for the wrens if you haven't already. I went to hobby lobby and bought the wren house kit. And painted it and stained it with a clear coat of weather proof varnish. I'm currently trying to attract one to my house. Wish me luck! 😊

Thanks for the video of awesome clear song and calls! I'm trying to attract house wrens to my bird houses. Oh and if your a bird nerd like me please feel free to give me any pointers.

@friendlyviewer71713 жыл бұрын
I agree that's a cardinal then I hear a blue jay briefly and then the cardinal again. Did you know that cardinal's are one of the first birds to sing in the spring? They are said to start using their mating calls at the beginning of February.
