WOW I love the modern take on the chateau. So happy to see a house that was so well built being loved and updated. So often now, we tear down and build new ... "disposable architecture" . The original owner had it well built and Scott saw the quality and had the vision to make it his own... Bravo!

This house is stunning in all its idiosyncratic glory, very nicely appointed by the brilliant Mr. Yetman. Not at all the typical boring, cookie-cutter white box. Bravo!

It's never my business if a new owner absoulutely guts a house. But the story is more enjoyable when they can find respect for what's there, and make it theirs without major alterations. They always seem to love it more too. This seems to be that case. Boland's door, the pineapple, black stairs, and green carpet--the bomb!

It’s nice to hear how this designer has evolved. I’ve never heard that before. It’s very inspiring to see a designer move through life and it’s changes gracefully. He’s truly free to create. I love it!

I love a dark, moody color palette.

I don’t know why, but I feel like this person showing the house would make a wonderful best friend or close friend. His voice is calming, he speaks intelligently, he’s interesting, and he seems like someone I would be glad to know. The fact that he has great taste and a fun sense of humour are a bonus.

I SCREAMED at the cloakroom... the orange boxes + slow reveal of "Auntie Betty" just killed me. Love the thoughtful touches in the original architecture of the lined silver storage cabinet, drawer for flower arrangements, and fox details throughout. Beautiful Canadian art.

This is my all time favorite house. I have watched this video a million times and I’m still in awe of how beautifully daring it is. To me it is absolutely perfect.

Love Scott’s irreverent approach to design in this beautiful house while respecting it’s beautiful architecture. Hope that makes sense. It’s very obvious he loves his home but has chosen to show it by bringing in contemporary design that adds new and fresh life to the architecture. Would love to see if he has taken that same approach to the grounds/garden. Perhaps H&H can feature that when spring/summer finally arrives. Just a beautiful home!
