Eh, honestly, for me personally, I think he lacks energy. I don't have anything against the man at all, but he always seems unprepared to me or something. Not as smooth or together in his delivery as other NBA reporters. Stutters and stumbles a lot, looks down at his notes a lot, and doesn't have a natural speaking manner for the camera. Feels more like a researcher than a reporter or presenter. Ain't mad at the brotha's success, though. Hope he keeps doing well and gets better over more time. I just don't feel that energy, I guess. @KingdomSeaker8 ай бұрын
@@jeremydubeck4439 I'm no Harden fan but to be fair it wasn't his team and that 1st great game he had he scored 45 against Boston without Embiid and won, especially with a clutch bucket to end the game. Harden is known to choke in the playoffs but it's no excuse for the MVP to have 15 points in a game 7 even if he's hurt. Like it or not Harden is still a top 30 player if not 25
@jeremydubeck44398 ай бұрын
@@KingdomSeaker Yea im not defending Embiid at all. He did choke and shrink in the playoffs as well. Im just saying that people act like Harden was averaging 60 points a game in that series and carrying the Sixers on his back. Harden was schizophrenic in that Boston series, which isnt sustainable for winning. He would have 45 points one game, then 5 points the next and shoot like 3% from the field. I wouldve rather him have had a bunch of consistent 18-25 points games, instead of the 45 then 5 bullshit. The Sixers probably would've won the series even with Embiid also choking if Harden was consistently mediocre, instead of super nova and then ice cold.

He's averaging over 32 points a game and shooting like 43% from 3 and was the NBA player of the week haha. And Kelly Oubre is averaging like 23 points a game as well with the Sixers. Plus now the Sixers have an amazing bench and tons of draft assets to trade for someone like Siakim if he wants out of Toronto around the trade deadline, etc etc. The Sixers are way better after this trade. Harden was a cancer, and they were almost 3-0 without him (They lost to the Dame-Giannis Bucks in Milwaukee by just 1 point).

I agree with Chuck on this one. It's going to be interesting to see how the ball gets distributed on the Clippers, as their starting lineup is 4/5 players that needed the ball to thrive. Zubac might love his new gig of "I just play D and rebound, someone else gets to shoot lol". For me, I'd surmise that Kawhi and PG might get capped minutes against doormat teams (maybe coach caps them at 30mpg) like Charlotte or Washington, and let Russ and James soak up those other minutes. But for big games like against Denver or Boston, THOSE games will be truly interesting to see who gets the lion's share of the ball.
@TheNickhammond8 ай бұрын
I doubt they play the backcourt of Harden and Westbrook that much. They will likely stagger them is my guess. Imagine Harden leading the second unit. That would be pretty scary when the other teams starters rest.
@jeremydubeck44398 ай бұрын
Kawhi will bench himself at some point for at least 40 games with vaginal cramps, and Paul George will most likely injure himself in some way again. So it'll most likely be mostly Harden and Westbrook bricking up 3s together for most of the season.

This is how it should have been from the start. Harden doesn't have that killer instinct to be the first option on a team. Which is why he crumbles in the post season looking around for players to bail him out. @SLICENSLASH8 ай бұрын
@@otislea1451 On Houston they were the 2 primary stars, and they changed the roster to accommodate Russ so he could more effectively drive the ball. On OKC Harden came off the bench, which is what I believe Russ should do now. Both Harden & Russ are tertiary options after Kawhi & PG. It's more reason that they both have to be able to Shoot, but Russ isn't & has never been a good 3pt shooter, so to get what he has to offer rather than him turn into a weak link in the starting lineup he should come off the bench.

In History?! That's quite a statement. The NBA is at least as much a business as it is a sport and in that respect, James Harden is an historic Winner. Four times he has managed to get traded exactly as he wanted it, earning millions of dollars to play ball. In a league where players get traded by their ownership for breakfast, I do believe that few of us here have the storytelling wrong.

@@omenriver2399 Those are legitimate fouls. Harden mastered a technique of drawing phantom fouls on his shots. There’s even an interview back in the day where he said he’s good at exploiting the rules, and that it’s part of the game.
