Housing in Pretoria South Africa shocked me 😱😱😱🇿🇦

I got a chance to tour the area where I was staying and check out the real estate and houses there and both the rent and actual buying prices of the houses really shocked me. I never thought it would be this affordable. Let me know what you think in the comment section below. do you agree that its affordable or am I only dreaming?

Watching how much you appreciate my country has really made me greatful for what I have,cause to me there's nothing special about this neighborhood and the houses, it's a normal place to me but the fact that you consider it to be such a nice place really puts things into perspective,we as South Africans like to complain and talk bad about our country,but we forget there are worse places out there in the world and what we consider normal may be paradise for people from other countries,keep up the content!

😮😢 Kenya accom is expensive KS150000= R20 525, that is Upmarket rental in SA the likes of Sandton, etc. The area you are in is a very old suburb from wayback pre 94 it is just well maintained.

hey there, watching and liking your vids.great content.south afrika does humble lots of kenyans and africans at large, its the land of contrasts, none like it so far in africa but lots do try.its cheap for kenyans in the housing field, compared to the ridiculous prices in the kenyan market... some problem with it is you just don't rent like kenya, there is contracts you might need to sign to get an apartment or a house, actually if you think the houses try the land.land is so cheap as compared to kenya or many african countries. south africa will make you know what country is the most developed in afrika

Spot on, you must be credit worthy to qualify for rental apartment, a contract is just to hold you accountable if you break things and it in turn also help you as they would not just wake up one day and decide to evict you, law enforcement would even come to your rescue with any unfair eviction, so the contract is very necessary, with it,

I agree, most South African cities have very good middle class neighbourhoods with affordable property. Relatively good infrastructure but maintenance is sometimes a problem. But on the whole, according to African standards you get a lot of value in South Africa compared to the amenities and infrastructure available.. At least you see where some of the tax money is going..

My brother I don’t want to dampen your enthusiasm but that’s a very old suburban area, South Africans with money bought houses there and other areas alike in the 90s, now there are newer areas, mainly estates where people with money buy or rent. South Africa has a massive accommodation market with an extensive variety and accommodates all budgets. I live in Dubai and good accommodation is such a commodity here.

Yes South Africa sounds good on the face of things. But underneath it is still controlled by the enemy. Who controls its economy and land. Maybe if Malema gets in there as president., and he gets some of the land back for his people. Maybe then. Was there a few years ago and the people treated me so good!
