I'm not a big fan of the "overrated" chant. It doesn't make sense to me. To me it sounds like your fans are saying "Your ranking isn't legit because if it was our team wouldn't have been able to win this game." No, the fans should be thinking "Your ranking is exactly where it should be, and our team is good enough to beat or dominate a team ranked that high." It's like you don't have faith in your own team's abilities. In Allen Fieldhouse there should only be one chant that is said or sung in there. "Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU!" Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Another KU alum here saying, please don't be that guy. Is it classy? Of course not. But when a team with the history and pedigree that KU has is ranked lower than the team coming into The Basketball Cathedral of America, "overrated" is the least offensive chant fans could've used. It's just a buncha happy and proud people who watched their squad trounce what was supposed to be a superior team. So let'em crow a bit.

@@pk7422I'm not saying that it isn't "classy" or that it's "offensive." I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense in my opinion. Houston to this point in the season has earned its ranking, and even though KU won as easily that it did today, it doesn't mean that Houston should be considered "overrated." They should be rated exactly where they should be, and Kansas sill beat them easily. But I would say this about anybody beating anybody else. Have belief that no matter how good the other team is or where they're ranked, your team is better and can beat the best. Saying the other team is "overrated" takes away from what your team just accomplished. It's sort of like before a boxing or MMA fight and one fighter is saying their opponent is "trash" or "that he isn't a good fighter and it's going to be an easy win for me." Then how does that make that fighter look if he gets knocked out by the guy he called "a bad fighter?" What's that make him? Today Kansas handled one of the best teams in the country. Don't lessen that accomplishment by calling Houston "overrated." That's just my opinion though. It's okay if you have a different opinion on the chant.

Kansas did an excellent job of passing out of the UH blitz defense. They have so many elite playmakers. UH will make an adjustment the next time they face Kansas

Balanced scoring from the Jayhawks complete domination A J Adams reminds me of a young Oits Thrope. Connecticut, Kansas, and Purdue, so far heads above everyone, but March Madness is right around the corner should get interesting.

What's with all the boomers complaining about the "overrated" chant being "not classy" or something? That's a super tame chant! Should the student section be golf clapping? When someone is favored to win in your building and you beat the brakes off of them, you let them know. It's college sports, not the Masters!

Houston just CRUSHED Kansas tonight 76 - 46 and Kansas has been on a downward spiral even before losing McCullar Jr. It’s how you finish that matters. Now that they’re even at 1 game a piece, let’s see who has the last laugh come tournament time!!

Two big stats to consider, turnovers and shooting %. 18 turnovers by Kansas, 3 by Houston. Kansas won't shoot near 70% again this season. If they had shot even 55% they likely would have lost, and if they keep turning the ball over like that they will lose a several more games. When they're on though it's tough to beat them. Playing in the Big 12 is the best thing that happened to Houston. They are playing at least 15 "NCAA tourney" caliber games in this regular season. They never had that before. Now they will have the experience to go even further in the postseason. They'd rather have 6+ regular season losses and reach the Final Four than go 33-3 and exit in the Sweet Sixteen.

As a Houston fan that was at the game... That was the most intense home environment I have ever experienced. If you look at the Team stats/shooting percentages, you would think Houston Lost by 30+. I'm glad we kept it to under 15.

So disappointed and ashamed at the "overrated" chants. That needs to stop. Shows no class and is simply stupid. It takes away from our effort and performance and disrespects our opponent and the game itself. We are better than this. End this stupid, classless chant.

so far, here’s the combined CFB/CBB record for the 4 new teams. (conference play) Cincinnati: 4-13 BYU 5-11 UCF 7-11 Houston 8-9 all around sports, no these teams aren’t Big-12 ready. the ADs can be football driven but remember, you don’t have the luxury to play Charlotte and UTSA every year in different sports

Kansas is going to get more and more consistent with Johnny Furphy now in the starting lineup. Furphy just turned 19, and he’s a McDonald’s AA level player. It’s like KU just added a star player to the starting lineup. Kansas is going to be hard to beat in March.

@@minaeldiwany3215 Maybe you’re right, but I’ll tell you this……since 2000, Kansas is either No. 1 or 2 in NCAA Tournament wins, Kansas is 1st in Elite 8 appearances with 11; Kansas is 2nd in Final Four appearances with 6, and Kansas has won 2 NCAA National Championships in that time frame (since 2000). In Self’s 18 NCAA Tournament appearances with Kansas, Self has gotten KU to 9 Elite Eight appearances OR better. That means that 50% of the time Self has Kansas knocking on the door of the Final Four and sometimes going in. That’s a HIGH LEVEL of success.
