Frooti is a product of Parle Agro and Frooti alone doing 4000 CR revenue each year and 8000 CR whole Parle Agro combined. Frooti mango juice was launched in 1984 in green tetra packs targeting children and gradually reached 300 crores of revenue in 2002-3.
Nadia Chauhan a daughter of Prakash Chauhan joined Parle Agro as a Chief Marketing Officer at the age of 17 and started modifying products and positioning. First, she changed the color of the tetra pack from green to yellow as yellow color defines mango. Second, she made Frooti in different price packet starting from 2.5 Rs to 20 Rs. Also, she changed Frooti's positioning from children drink everyone and made Frooti a family drink. Nadia started other products in the Parle Agro product portfolio like Appyfizz, Beiley water, and Smooth - details mentioned in the video.
