An infant who was ripped from the womb last summer is bonding with the mother she will never know. Baby Haisley Jo is now being raised by her father, Ashton Matheny, in North Dakota. He was the longtime boyfriend of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind. In August, Greywind’s body was discovered after her neighbor, Brooke Crews, cut the child out of her womb. Inside Edition was given exclusive access to the baby and found a touching bond between the child, who is now 5 months old, and her deceased mom. #InsideEdition

Yes!! I recall when we had to dissect the frog in high school. I felt terrible cutting that frogs stomach. That takes on a dark dark place in that woman’s head that could do that to another beautiful human being. I found, because of an undetected infection I would never be a mother. I cried for yrs, and could not even go into the baby section of any retail store. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I have the THOUGHT of depriving someone of their pregnancy, or birth of their child. I still struggle, but now I love to see a pregnant mom, or a newborn. To hear the joy in their voices as they talk about becoming a parent, and I get a kick out of the the parents who already have children, and their funny stories of parenthood. It hurts, but I manage as best I can. It has nothing to do with any mental illness, and EVERYTHING to do with be a selfish, deceiving individual.

She lived a couple blocks away from me. We live in a small city, not very many murders here. And her case has haunted our city, it’s constantly talked about.
