As soon as it gets cheap enough to replace the rest of the workers with robots they will. I seen a similar thing on How's it made. Pretty neat really. Mechanical engineering fascinates me . The stuff that the human mind and hands can create is awesome. I am referring to the machinery to make them.

How a bowling ball is made. Tweak the core, tweak the cover, change the color, change the scent, show a video of endless strikes on a walled shot. Instant sales from desperate souls. #$
@jvmiller1995
@jvmiller1995 2 жыл бұрын
You are not completely wrong. But every once in a while people luck out and they tweak it just right and a star is born. Hammer Black Widow , purple hammer the motive jackal ghost, Storm Hy-Road. The list can go on. Not to mention all bowling balls loose performance every time they are rolled. So everyone should upgrade every year or two at the least... Just to keep a good reactive surface and get the best performance possible. That and every 60 games they should be scuffed up baked or soaked in hot water to get the oil out of them and re polished to desired finish . Unless you use urethane or plastic. Most people that are not addicted to this game do not know that.

@stompingpeak2043
@stompingpeak2043 2 жыл бұрын
@@TraumaER you can do that now. Just drill a hole into the center of the ball and fill it with lead or tungsten. Then plug the hole. Just don't get cought in a sanctioned event. I'm talking make a functioning ball that works best for me. You know? Make a batch of 4 with my favorite cover/core combo
@TraumaER
@TraumaER 2 жыл бұрын
@@stompingpeak2043 haha I've seen it all now. I was just joking. I didn't know people actually did this. Not surprised if it happens though. We had league bowlers try to sneak in balls with weight holes still last year and got into fights with other teams when they saw the ball. It gets suspicious when you take your ball off a chair or bag, roll your ball, then after your frame is over, you take the ball off the ball area and put it in some secret location. Have idiots still using ball cleaner after every shot all night. No one calls them out. As far as favorite balls. Yeah I'd like 3-4 HyRoad Pearls in different colors. Gold would be nice. And I'm not paying $300 for some 'overseas' HyRoad Pearl that happens to be gold haha. I'd also like a Pitch Black that wasn't actually black. Maybe gray or wooden looking.
@stompingpeak2043
@stompingpeak2043 2 жыл бұрын
@@TraumaER well you're allowed to clean your balls now I guess. They at least changed the rule everywhere I've been because of covid. I just want to make the perfect pearl cover on my perfect core. Then I'd be stoked. Also yes people have cheated in the past by doing that. Get a black ball and fill it with something heavy and plug the hole with black fill. Nobody will ever know unless they weigh it lol. I don't do it cause 15 is more than enough for me. I wouldn't want a 25lb ball. That thing would tear up my wrist big time

3:15 wait.... they put the core randomly?? How the Pin make?
@PantherBlitz
@PantherBlitz 2 жыл бұрын
The pin is inserted into the hole that they drill at 1:20 and at 1:57 they hammer the pin into place. The pin should be holding the core up from the bottom of the coverstock mold but you are correct; in this video you can see some of the balls are not exactly centered.

So many balls come out now that they all pretty much are duplicating what past balls have done in regards to bowl motion. There seems to be a lot of overlap in the last 10-15 years.
@acdii
@acdii 2 жыл бұрын
Pretty much, but with updated coverstocks. The BW 2.0 is the same as the original, but has a different coverstock. At least that is what most reviewers keep saying.

What do you guys pay for a ball in the ball truck
@tonguetwista1313
@tonguetwista1313 2 жыл бұрын
Normally they don't. Most just pay for the drilling. But a lot depends on if the bowler is sponsored or not. And if that person is sponsored, it will depend on their contract.
