No disrespect, but the video doesn’t really answer the question. It just briefly describes the backround of the guest, which is nothing unique at all (from what we can tell from the video).

Congratulations on your move to New York and your bachelor's degree in electrical engineering! Starting a career in a new country can be exciting and challenging. Here are some steps you can take to kickstart your engineering career in the United States: Familiarize Yourself with the Local Job Market: Research the demand for electrical engineers in the New York area. Look for companies and industries that align with your interests and skills. Online job portals, professional networking platforms, and industry-specific websites can provide valuable information about available positions. Networking: Networking is crucial for finding job opportunities and making professional connections. Join engineering associations and attend industry events to meet fellow engineers, employers, and professionals in your field. Networking can lead to referrals, internships, and potential job openings. Resume and Cover Letter: Tailor your resume and cover letter to meet the requirements of the U.S. job market. Highlight your education, relevant coursework, internships, projects, and any industry experience you gained. Emphasize your technical skills, including software proficiencies and any specialized training you have received. Professional Engineering (PE) License: In the U.S., obtaining a Professional Engineering license can significantly enhance your career prospects. While it is not mandatory for entry-level positions, it is beneficial in the long run. To obtain a PE license, you need to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, gain relevant work experience under a licensed PE, and pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam. Check the specific requirements in New York for licensing through the New York State Education Department's Office of the Professions. Check out our Pass the FE Exam KZfaq Channel here >> kzfaq.info Continuing Education and Certifications: Engaging in lifelong learning and pursuing certifications can demonstrate your commitment to professional growth. Look for opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills through workshops, online courses, and certificate programs. Popular certifications in the electrical engineering field include Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), and Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE). Internships and Entry-Level Positions: Consider applying for internships or entry-level positions to gain practical experience and further build your network. These opportunities can help you familiarize yourself with the local industry practices and provide valuable insights into the U.S. engineering work environment. Job Search Resources: Utilize online job portals such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor to search for engineering job openings in New York. Additionally, reach out to career services at your alma mater, attend job fairs, and explore the websites of local engineering associations for job listings and resources. Remember that building a successful career takes time, persistence, and continuous learning. Be proactive in seeking out opportunities, expanding your professional network, and staying updated with the latest developments in your field. Good luck with your career in the United States!

Is it possible to get PE License without absolving US university? For example when somebody already has university degree of civil engineering from Europe. Can he somehow get this license? And do this job from abroad?

Hello Peter. It might be possible yes, however you will need to contact the state board where you would like to get your license and ask them what their requirements are. You can also check out our KZfaq channel @PassthePEExam that will be very helpful.
