1. This business model keeps the environment clean from plastic wastes especially the plastics that are scattered on Ghana’s beaches 2. He is indirectly employing women by paying them to collect waste 3. He is directly employing locals in his company 4. He has an engineering background and built all his machines himself with the exception of one. 5. He is building sustainable and affordable homes using plastic wastes. He solved three problems with his business model (environmental sustainability, employment, affordable housing) The house is made of 13,400 Kilograms of plastic waste. The bricks are made up of 70% sand that prevents fires and 30% plastic is used for bonding. By using plastics to form bricks to build homes and solar energy for electricity then no African will be homeless or without electricity again!!!

My prayer is that we shall find inspiration from such stories as young people of Africa , to go ahead and pursue our goals, dreams and desires. Causing tragedies so horrific. Very concerning; Afrocentric. Recycle; rescue b4 Ocean Atlantic. Hybrid blocks; from Neoplastic. Sand/plastic mix, how terrific? Low-cost housing; problematic. Now home ownership not drastic. The poor dreams do come thru. Whenever there is an avenue. ❤

What floored me is that he not only builds using plastic but he built the machines that manufactures the plastic. Beautiful!! The sky's the limit. As I say, Africa's best resources is it's people, not minerals gas oil

This is inspirational! During my undergraduate days, I was working on production of Polycrete (Shredded plastic, sand and cement) for the production of ceiling sheets, my Professors laughed at me and forced me to drop the project. But seeing this video, I am inspired to try again. I will love to learn more from Mr. Nelson and believe this is the answer to all the menaces of plastic waste in our society. I see so many opportunities here: Low cost housing, Employment opportunity, Disaster (flood) Mitigation and climate change mitigation.

He's doing a *great* job!! I think what Ghanaians should do from now on is if they have plastic in their house *don't* throw it away or litter just *donate* all of the plastics that you have in your house to this guy instead throwing it anywhere and making the environment an unhealthy place to live and *thanks* for sharing this Maya ✊🏾

GOD bless African pioneers. Gana is a great country, and their president is a great leader. This African pioneer should be invested by our rich African brothers and sister and also government agencies. He has a great future for all Africa. This is African new building technology. This is still new to the world, but is is growing fast. Let all help our young pioneers to develop our continent.
