In my quest of documenting alternative building technologies on this channel, I came across Gjenge, a company that recycles plastic waste into beautiful, decorative paving bricks.
And behind this innovation is Nzambi Matee, a material scientist and the founder of Gjenge Makers.

Está claro que la única forma de reducir la contaminación por el plástico es reducir su uso, pero mientras tanto podemos reducir los daños con proyectos como éste que además reduce el consumo de cemento, siendo la fabricación del cemento una de las más contaminantes además del placer de ver de crear proyectos industriales por jóvenes africanis/as.

Interesting. I would like to see the wear pattern of heavily used bricks. Do they break, do they wear down?

Yes, they wear down due to friction, but they can recycle your old pavers and make new ones.
