In this video, Matt demonstrates how seed that has been harvested straight from the field is then cleaned in preparation for planting the following year.
Sorry for the video quality in some scenes. The lighting was dim in some places for high shutter speed and slow motion.
Thanks to Huffstetler Seed Company in Greenfield, TN for allowing me to film this video at their location.

Nice to see another family run business still making it in this day and age. I'm guessing 3-4 generations of family you have pictured at the end.

Glad to see you still have a seed cleaner in the area. Most of the ones I knew of went away with the Roundup ready soybean era.

When I read seed cleaning, I immediately thought of delinting! All the delimiters in our area went broke shortly after RR and BG cotton seed arrived. First year I planted RR cotton was in 98. Delta pine! And for the life of me I can’t remember the number.

Love watching your videos. Bite my nails waiting for them. Small farm from Ohio. Do you think anhydrous in the fall is a benefit in for the following year and do you use it and if so why. Or why not?

This could be a place where you can get seed that doesn't have poison on them that will kill the vital microbial life in the soil, that the plant need a symbiosis with to resist deceases and obtain nutrients.
