Summer Schedule
Our schedule may vary, but expect a new video 3 days a week at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZfaq channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin.
Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like.
These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

You take it easy Ryan and don't push yourself. No one wants to see anyone get hurt because they are tired. We have all Winter to watch videos. Harvest first and be safe. You make great content, thank you.

Don't worry about getting content out. You have work to do and weather to beat. I thank you for showing us the Subsoiler. 40 yrs ago I worked making Brillion Implements. I remember the first subsoilers we made, and the modifications of the frame and the shanks after they we had sold some and flaws were found. When I see old Brillion Implements I feel proud that I might have helped make the one I am looking at.

this is an amazing tool, it might increase up to 15% of crop production over whole season, complete game-changer. Good luck

Great video! The saline comments are right on target for areas in North Dakota since no-till has come on the scene and truly are barren spots.

The subsoiler looks like a very handy tool. I hope you get a chance to use it soon. Aside from erosion, compaction seems to be a big factor that you can mitigate to improve your soil characteristics and thus, your yields.

I've had one for years and they are pretty awesome they really do need the shank protectors on the sides because it will wear the shank thin just above the Ripper point
