Jake just came home, and Honey is thrilled! She's been playing non-stop with him since he walked in the door. Jake sounds scary, but he just plays loud. He's a real vocal boy. Honey's her typical submissive self when it's not food related. If you watch our last video of her at the dog park, you can see how she plays differently with the dog vs. Jake. 🐺 ❤️ 🐾

@@artsyscrub3226 I'm not a Wolf expert & never claimed to be, but I know dog behaviour & she's displaying signs of wanting to take the role of Alpha in this clip, it's as simple as that. Generally they'll work it out without a huge fight, so long as one of them is willing to submit, but, it could've ended badly.

Growing up we had a wolf dog, her name was Missy. She waa solid white. She lived a long and happy life. Towards the end , she got arthritis and started to really bad days some days it was really hard for her to get-up-and-get moving. We did everything we could for her. My uncle had just gotten A new dog , which was a german shepherd and for some reason that dog decided to attack me one day Missy came running full speed like she did when she young and healthy. She got that dog off of me. Ill never forget her.

Adrenaline is a powerful thing (I’m assuming that it works in much the same way for humans and other mammals). People have done some extraordinary things in an adrenaline rush, some of which don’t seem physically possible and probably wouldn’t have been believed if not for witnesses. Kind of its whole purpose, I guess. Getting out of fight or flight situations that require a bit of extra physical assistance. Some of the most impressive happen when protecting someone they love. Missy probably wasn’t feeling much pain in those seconds it took for her to react. It says a lot about how much she loved you that she was able to move that fast even with arthritis and possible mobility issues. Sounds like she had one heck of an adrenaline rush when she saw you in danger.

I have various chronic pain issues. I can guarantee that the adrenaline from a real scare can make all the pain disappear momentarily. Missy was a wonderful companion who loved you immensely. What a wonderful very good, good girl. I'm sure she's still watching over you.

I love how the body language of a wolf-pup is the same as any domesticated dog. Show the belly, "I'm not a threat." Bouncing around, "I want to play." It's like this language is deeply embeded in canine DNA.

@@nthgth Dogs are a subspecies of wolves so they share a lot of genes, although some of them may have been deactivated in the process of domestication, like for example; wolves bark when they're puppies but they stop barking as they grow older (instead they growl, grumble, whine, etc) while dogs bark all their lives.

It’s crazy how she is rolling around and staying clean when she is rolling around on dirt. Also she is so cute and if she did get hurt by Jake she wouldn’t be rolling around showing her stomach to him. And even if he did hurt her when she yelp she knows it was on accident. ❤

The language of animals can be amazing to witness. The way they automatically know the order of things and the affection they show to one another, humanity can take a lesson from them. I’ll never understand the hatred and cruelty of humanity. Animals only kill to eat or protect, they teach their young as best they can. Animals are so very intelligent. Whenever there are two or more animals, from house cats and dogs all the way up to lions, there is always a leader/dominant one. But, they can be very close and best friends as Bob and Jake have been since they were babies.

@@bobandthewolfdogs Her behaviour is similar to dogs, but different too. I noticed in this vid that she does tuck her tail and down. She’s giving him recognition of superiority, but being female, she’s trying hold an alpha position too. Could be it’s her wanting to play and rough house but then not wanting to. She’s also got a ton of puppy excited energy in her when seeing him. She does love her boys.

Honey is over the moon happy giving so many well planted kisses, her body language is also sending clear signals; she’s a happy girl, happy to see her beau, and giving generous signals he’s dominant. She speaks wolf fluently and dog too! It’s wonderful to be bilingual Honey girl is a sweetheart ❤

Very interesting to see this. A TV documentary showed a female wild wolf acting very similar when her mate came back from hunting and she'd been looking after their cubs and was desperately hungry. Maybe it isn't as unusual as they claimed.

Okay, I'm going to be real honest. My favorite was Coco, she passed a year and a half ago. She was Jake's sister from a later liter. But if soul mates exist, she was mine. Jake had just got to my house the day I filmed this, so all of us showered him with love that day. Jake helped heal me from debilitating illness, so I've got a special connection with him. I've got it with all 3 of them, but each for different reasons. ❤️ 🐾
