Very, cute, but love if you feed them that crap, they are not going to live as long as they should and will cost more money for pills and sickness. Feed them fresh, raw meat (not previously frozen) and vegetables, some fallen fruit they find in their natural habitat. They’re omnivores. But pig is not their natural diet, at least not Malamutes. I guess it depends where the wolf is from. Kaya occasionally got canned salmon and vet recommended fish oil capsules which she loved to “catch” and “pop” in her mouth and eat, lol. They were her treats. When I asked the vet how many to give her, he said until her poop was shiny (mean she was properly lubricated within) and of course her skin and coat were great.

My Kaya used to sound just like that and also said, “ I love you “💕 “Bob” looks and sounds just like her. She was a sweet mama-dog, dominant female, the previous lead on a sled team, and the monitor of the dog park, protecting puppies from “the chase.” 🥰

Your black and white malamute looks exactly like my Kaya did…. I mean EXACTLY. I was racking my brain for when she was at your house? then I saw these are current. She passed in 2017. Wild.

Well, adult wolves definitely don't bark often. Wolf pups might (sort of like how wild cats don't meow to each other but do so to kittens) which probably causes confusion in some people thinking they found a stray dog. But dogs bark throughout their lives all the time for many reasons, while wolves only do rarely in very specific circumstances.

Always love seeing honey. Unfortunately, the information is incorrect. 21 yrs of wolf/wolfdog experience and education here. I also communicate with scientist that study wolves for a living. Always willing to offer education. Have a great week!

Interesting! Seems like deep chested dogs probably have a bit more similar body type (Bob is adorable, but very barrel chested), but still not nearly as narrow as a wolf! I have a shepherd/lab mix but even she has (comparatively) broader shoulders than the lovely Honey.

One huge, extremely important difference is, dogs have been bred for thousands of years to help humans. Over the melena we have shaped the wolf's traits to better assist us in a huge variety of jobs, but in all cases, only the most obedient individuals were allowed to breed. In in most cases aggressiveness and predatory behavior was bred out as these traits would not be suited to a working dog. You want your dog to to herd the sheep, not eat the sheep. Wolves are wild animals and humans have not controlled their breeding. Natural Selection has bead for an animal that is good at hunting, they do not ignore predatory triggers, and they can be very aggressive. That wolf belongs in a sanctuary, not begging for treats on a back porch.

I had a half and half. I thought she looked a little more husky , kinda. But when her 6 other dog family members and me would go for our hikes through the meadow to the hills, she would NEVER stay with us. Always on the outskirts far away but keeping an eye on us. Same with sleeping. Always alone. No cuddles. Didn’t like them from humans either. But she was a really GOOD Girl. I miss her.

So many people say it like it’s an option rather than a command. Say it once, firmly with confidence and imagine them complying. So many people repeat it over and over “siiiiiit” is different than “sit”! Puppers say you’re not saying it right!

Wolves are also muuch more intelligent than dogs. Which should really tell you something about their intelligence, cuz dogs are quite sharp as well.
