I recall rising an incident for folder permission to SAP on Friday thinking that will be done over weekend. The SR done and closed on Monday,but they have given permission to another folder🤡🤡.I lost my mind along with integration team for 8 hrs straight 😅. When I realised the problem I talked to SAP manager who advised to rise and high priority SAP incident quoting the request. Even though I was furious I raised it ,and even though it's hight priority it took 12hrs🤡🤡as these kind of OS process cannot be high priority, and the reduced the priority themselves 🤷🤷. THE POINT IS : 1 second task : "chmod 775 folder name" took almost 5 days and I lost my mind with others, raised 2 unnecessary requests , Hand to explain this to the clients somehow🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Is this really RISE or Downfall😅😅

Great info as always. With basis skill set, what other areas do you think one can branch out to although that may require a bit of learning and upskilling?

Hey, I've had a few questions around this. The AI tech is so new right now, but SAP are putting it everywhere. For now, in the short term, nothing will really change. Medium to long term AI will be more visible in the support processes. I would estimate that 3 years is "long term". By the time we get to 2027, SAP will be aiming to make significant efficiencies, mainly to reduce their own cost and to speed up RISE adoption at this critical point in time when ERP starts to go out of mainstream maintenance support. This same "AI problem" will hit other digital jobs also. All of us will be impacted. Right now, there is no clear direction or path where AI will not have an impact. Maybe the path is to work with AI, work on AI and not work under it. I.e. find a role that is creating and maintaining the AI. Just a guess.

Ha😅 You jest on the requirements for detail, but that is exactly what is needed in the request, otherwise it just comes back requesting more details. Request: " can you apply *the latest* stack to system xyz" Response: "Eactly what stack do you want and list all the components and their required patch levels" *the latest* is what the business request but that doesn't marry up to the technical request needed by SAP.

@@TechCubicleOnSAP Support Packages are an easy one to go through. You send them a STACK.XML. And then they send it back to you saying is this OK? And you say yes, that's why I sent it to you. And then they say we will update it with SPAM and then you say please use SUM so we can add the SPDD and SPAU and customer transports. And then you ask for Observer credentials. And then they ignore that. And then you ask for UPGANA.XML to be uploaded and then they say they have removed the SUM upgrade directory...the list of problems goes on and on...

DXC HCL etc. They are hiring sap basis from every where. Next step: AI studies all the tickets rised to SAP from 20 years before and get trained to be able to work as a basis Next step: Fire 30% of the SAP incident team,50% from outsourcing team Last Step: Fire 90% human workers . Leave 10% for VVVIPs
