With UBI, people can breathe while taking on interesting, productive and financially lucrative endeavors with the help of AI. The concept of ownership will remain, as long as there will be independent human beings, and differences in fundamental opinions. Whether that ownership pertains to resouces, intellectual or financial property and so on. This will keep people interested in doing all sorts of stuff, not because they have to, but because they choose to.

UBI has been tried. It takes away the dignity of work as productivity. Its one of those ideas that sounds great, but fails in practice. BUT, what are our options? Press pause, while hostile actors blow past us? I don’t know. But UBI won’t be a panacea.

Basically all of us will loose our jobs due to faster, better and cheaper AI sooner or later. Most of the people already need something like UBI or UBS since the financial crisis is already among us.

Understanding this is largely what has changed my personal politics. And if you think about it, what's coming is the logical end result of capitalism. A never ending quest for increasing profit while cutting costs was always going to end with as few people as possible working. So going forward how we vote will decide our future. Do we vote for those pushing for that Star Trek future, or those who insist that because we've always worked for a living, we must always work for a living, or else suffer the consequences.

Right!? These guys are talking about having a tutor in your pocket to help you develop the skills and education you'll need to get jobs and internships 10 years from now. What planet are they living on? When the tutor in your pocket is 10X smarter, 100X faster, and 1000X cheaper than you (at the very thing it's supposedly teaching you)... there are no jobs or internships in that field. I don't get why this is so difficult to understand for techno-optimists. For almost a year now, since ChatGPT was released, I've been waiting for just one of these "experts" to name a single significant job that AI or automation will "create" that AI and automation (probably at the scale of humanoid robots in 10 years) won't also be able to do. By "significant" I mean a job that employs thousands, if not millions of people who will inevitably lose their jobs... either directly to AI or automation, or as a result of an economic collapse from 30% - 60% of workers losing their job to AI or automation. Still, no one can answer that question. AI and humanoid robotics are not the printing press, the steam engine, computers, or even the internet. Those are all limited purpose technologies with a relatively narrow scope that provided new platforms for humans to build on, which we did, leading to new unimagined industries and careers. For that same pattern to play out this time, AI and automation need to be limited in purpose, relatively slow to adopt, and create new unimagined industries and jobs at an equal or faster rate than the jobs they replace. So far, that doesn't seem likely.

I am a retired schoolteacher and have been contemplating changes needed in education for the last 50 years. My suggestion is to allow all of “teaching” to be done by the AI app, but retrain the teachers to be primarily focused on safety and conflict management.

Years ago I commissioned an electronics expert to populate a 3 layer printed circuit board wth ~500 microwave leadless dual diodes. There was no detectable DC output. I recently realized that I should have chosen zero bias diodes. Can someone repeat the build with the correct diodes? Aloha Charlie

I have a moon shot complete with aliens and Time Travelers to create a world where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The time traveler gift shop will be a force to reckon with. The Democrats and the liberals are going to hate it. I hope to be up on that stage someday. God bless y'all

*★ I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, true love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as patience and faith (in the finished work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rather than in what man has done such as science, technology and organizations which won't last forever). To avoid sin and error which leads to the death of our body and also our spirit in hell fire, we should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.
