Alhaji Alhassan Dantata was a Nigerian businessman who was the wealthiest man in West Africa at the time of his death on August 17, 1955.
The young Alhassan was brought up in the care of an old slave woman, who was known as "Tata" from which circumstance young Alhassan became known as Alhassan Dantata because of her role as his mother. "Dantata" means “son of Tata”.
So, how did Alhassan Dantata, a "son of an old slave woman", become West Africa’s Richest Man in the 1950s? #HistoryVille #AlhassanDantata

@@wildsane203 Nonsense, absolutely Nonsense not even Rockefellers or the famous Rothschild banking family were in business that long. Anyway, this is not an intellectual forum but, it is pertinent to note that the niger delta oil obliterated the famed groundnuts pyramids of Kano. What a tragedy? What a tragedy? We now import.

@@iheanyinnaji9254 I know about the Rothschild, they are a new family in the general wealth compared to families in Saudi Arabia, China and India. Amstel Rothschild is where the money starts at the end of the cruel French segregation and oppression of the Jews.

My fellow Nigerians, I want to make it perfectly clear, that the old economy is still relevant today as the world continues to move fast especially New technology. Men like odumegwu father louis, Tagbo Onyekwelu, and other igbo men made their money from palm oil exports that has been dominated by Indonesia, and Malaysia. Unfortunately, each time you go on social media you hear the word BILLIONAIRE, BILLIONAIRE, what does the guy do?
