Individualism ഒരു western concept ആണ്. യൂറോപ്പിൽ ആണ് ഇത് ഉത്ഭവിച്ചത്. ഇന്ത്യയിലും മറ്റ് ചില ഏഷ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത് collectivist സംസ്കാരത്തിലാണ്. അതായത് വ്യക്തിയല്ല കുടുംബമാണ് സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അടിത്തറ.

അമേരിക്കയിൽ എത്തി അവിടെയുള്ളവരെ red indians എന്ന് വിളിച്ചു എന്നത് സത്യം. പക്ഷെ അതൊരു തെറ്റായ പേരായത് കൊണ്ടു ഇന്ന് അവരെ native americans എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നത്.

I cannot agree with the last statement.I am settled in America. With my degree from India I got a good job here and earning well. The medical expense are high but it’s all covered under your insurance. If you don’t have insurance, govt has other plans to cover for you. There are other ways govt support if you don’t have income. Educational expenses are everywhere, it’s not just in USA. You could easily pay it off in 2-3 years. One main difference is the attitude of people here. They seems to be rude and bold, but you will get used to it. They live in present and try to enjoy every moment .

I agree with you! I went to my private Physician last week for my annual check up. And I didn’t pay from my pocket, my Insurance paid. Not only that my doctor is like family friend, we talk about our family and sometimes we joke, clean jokes ok! My doctor is Christian, so he talks about his Church. I know Christian Congress Man! There are lot of Christians in Political field In America. That’s wny America is blessed.

Being an Indian American who have been living in New York for the past 20 years, the negatives you said about America are incorrect. Why the people in all parts of the world prefer to settle in America first. Discrimination is the least in America compared to any other countries. Some people in America don’t want to own houses instead they want to spend money in other ways. Students take loan for studying but will pay off in couple of years after they start working. The number one medical facilities in America costs a lot but Insurace will pay everything. You don’t have to pay for medical costs. If you don’t have insurance govt. will give you free insurance which is called Medicaid. So stop spreading wrong information.

As a person who has been in US for quite a some years, it seems some of your points appear correct per Indian perspective, but not per people here. For instance, you said most of the people don’t own a home. It’s not only because they are not able to, rather they don’t feel the need to buy the home and they spend the money to live happily. Whereas, we Indians think as if to own a home is a fundamental and absolute necessity, because we always have a sense of insecurity with us due to our poverty and lack of resources. In the US, people live at rental or leased homes comfortably and when they lack that too, there are shelters available. There’s other safety networks as well here like, Medicaid, social security disability, food stamps and so on. Although I agree with your informative presentation, it gives an impression that America is no that great of a place… Besides that I have been to some of the great Europian countries, all I can say is there is no place like US with plenitude, resources, educational opportunities, potential to grow etc, provided you’re smart and willing to work hard, and probably that’s why people say, “sky is the limit”.

Some corrections. 1)Christopher Columbus started his journey to India.not Asia 2) he believed its India when he reached there and called the "Native Americans" Indians. 3) Later they realized after many years realized, actual Indians are brown. So they started calling "Red Indians" as they look red in heat. 4) Nobody use "Red Indians" now due to the racial reference.
